Chapter Ten

[Selena's POV]

Holding the blanket closer to my body I adjust myself into a more comfortable position on the couch. I fix the pillow before I lay my head down on it with a sigh leaving my lips.

It's been several days since we got Justin back and since him and me had our fight. And he hasn't spoken to me very much because he's been too busy with you know who.

As if on cue, I hear footsteps coming into the room along with hearing Caroline's laugh and Justin's voice. I could feel my insides burning with rage. Caroline has not left Justin's side the whole time she's been here and it's really pissing me off.

I know Justin says that I have his heart, but it doesn't feel like it.

I feel the end of the couch get sunken in which makes me pick my head up. I see Justin sitting there with his eyes already on me.

"Hey." Justin says, placing his hand on my thigh. "You alright?"

"I'm fine." I reply, laying my head back down on the pillow and look away from him.

"Are you sure?" Justin asks, scooting closer to me and reaches his out to brush a lock of my hair behind my ear.

"Yes, Justin." I say, my tone more harsh then what I was intending. "I'm just tired."

Justin chews on the inside of his cheek. I could tell there was something he wanted to say in response that was eating at him, but he keeps quiet.

"Selena?" I hear Louis' voice from the other room.

"In here." I say, sitting up in the couch.

I adjust the blanket to where it's wrapped around my shoulders as I feel Justin's arm wrap around my waist. I start to turn my head towards him but he leans over and kiss my cheek with his lips lingering.

"I love you," Justin whispers in my ear.

"Selena," Louis says walking into the room before I'm able to say anything in response to Justin. "We need to talk."

"About what?" I question.

"I've been, well, Alfredo and I," Louis stumbles over his words a little. "We've been thinking a lot lately."

"Please tell me what you're about to tell me is something good." I say hopefully.

Louis shrugs his shoulders. "Well, depending on if you like what I'm about to say will determine if it's good or bad." he says, his eyes flashing towards Justin before he regains eye contact with me. "I think we need to move."

"Move?" I say, making sure I heard him right.

"And by move, he means move to a new state." Alfredo says, walking into the room and taking a seat in one of the recliner chairs.

"Why do we need to move?" Justin now joins in on the conversation.

"We realized that staying here will only leave the chance of the police finding you again, and obviously we don't want that happening again. So we figured that if we moved to a new state that it will at least give us a little closure about if the police will find you again or not." Alfredo explains the situation.
