Chapter 25

I wake up by the sound of my phone ringing, I don't even open my eyes, I just push the button and puts it up to my ear.

"Mmh."  I mumble.

"Did I wake you?" The person I have no idea who is asks.

"Who is this?"

"Marshall." Marshall says. How come his voice sounds so strange? I couldn't even recognize his voice.

"Why are your voice so stange?"

"My voice ain't strange, do you have shit in your fucking ears or something?" He asks. I guess I'm really tired and I'm still a little drunk for from last night.

"No i'm just not awake yet." I admit.

"Did it get late last night?"

"Yeah, we talked during the whole night."

"Can you come by today?"

"You know I can't." I sigh. I can't just leave when Jack is here to visit.

"Just for an hour or two." Marshall begs.

"You know I can't Marshall." I say and he sighs deeply. There's a moment of silence between us and I know he's disappointed. "I can see what I can do."

"Call or text me when you know something, then imma pick you up."

"Okay."

"Bye."

"Bye." I say.

I get out of bed and I put on some clothes before I head to the living room, I look over at the couch and I see Jack laying there sleeping still. I walk through the living room out to the kitchen. I wanna visit Marshall today but Jack can't know, wait.. What the fuck? Me and Jack are best friends so I shouldn't be afraid to tell him, I refuse to lie to him. I pure myself a glass of water before I begin to make waffles.
Jack suddenly stands in my kitchen like 10 minutes later and he pure himself a glass of water.

"Are you making waffles?" He asks.

"Yes." I say smiling. Jack leans himself against the kitchen counter and we get eye contact as he drinks the water. He only stands there in his sweatpants and no blouse, he has an amazing body and I understand why women are crazy for him.

"I'm sorry about last night." He says.

"Let's just forget about it."

"No Christina, let me finish. I ruined your night last night and I should never had said those things, it was really stupid of me but I guess my feelings came over me because of my drunk state." He says.

"It's okay but it doesn't change the fact that you meant what you said."

"You have changed but I just have to realize that the day where we grow away from each other has come."

"What are you talking about?" I ask him upset. "We have not grown away from each other Jack, I never wanna lose you."

"It came out wrong."

"Then please explain to me what you meant."

"You have a boyfriend now and it changes things."

"It's not the first time I have a boyfriend."

"No but this time it's different because I now realize how many feelings I have for you." Jack says. It's so surreal that I'm having this talk with Jack, it's so surreal that he has feelings for me.
