A Demon's Poem

My love,

You are an angel with broken wings
Whereas I am just a demon in disguise
And we have loved with a love
That was never just love

I crawled from the depths of hell
Just to be with you
And to be the one to love you

You fell from heaven
Just to be the one to save me
And to show me what love is

Although your heavenly soul
And my hellish thoughts
Will never go together
I would stay with you until the end

But I feel like that my love
Will never be enough for you
'Cause you deserve much better than me
So just turn your back on me
Since you are better off without me

So in the end all that will remain
Is my longing for your love
And the anguish of my own solitude
Because I know
That I'll never be good enough
