Giving a Helping Hand
Over the past few weeks, I've been spending as much time as I can with Mason and his friends, everything was so much fun I was around them. When I wasn't with Mason, I was dancing, things were getting a lot more intense now that exams were coming up. They had to make Ballet Exams around the same time as the school ones didn't they. So for the past few days I've been Mason free. Its been horrible actually.
I was standing in front of my bar that my dad puts in my room when my ballet exams are coming up. So I was in the middle of my warm up with my Modern History book opened in front of me. I was so focused on the Cold War and my warm ups that I didn't hear my window open, nor did I realise that someone was in my room until I felt arms snake around my waist.
"Holy crap!" I yelled.
"Shh, Sugar Plum, its just me." Mason whispered in my ear.
"What the hell are you doing here?"
"I haven't seen you in days, can't I see my girl?"
I was about to say something when I heard my dad yell from the other side of my door. "Scarlet are you okay in there?"
"Yeah, dad! I just figured out why the Truman Doctrine was so important to the Cold War!" I shouted. Mason then thought that it would be a good idea to start kissing my neck.
"That's my girl... how is the dancing coming along?"
"Fine!" I said quickly and a little bit breathlessly. "It's coming along fine, I'm just in a zone at the moment!"
"Okay Scarlet, I shall let the cook know that you will get something when you are ready for it."
"Thanks dad." I said. I waited until I couldn't hear his footsteps anymore before turning around in Mason's arms. "What the hell do you think you are doing?" I asked. Trying to be mad at him. We both know that I couldn't.
"What do you mean? I'm kissing you because you have amazing skin."
"That's not what I meant, I was asking why you are in my room, I texted you before saying that I couldn't go out tonight because I have to study for both Ballet and school."
Mason just smirked before going to lie on my bed. "How long have you been studying for anyway?"
"Too long." I said, flopping down next to him.
"Come on Sugar Plum, loosen up a little, I'm just trying to show you a little fun." Mason smirked at me as he rolled over on to his stomach.
"I'm going to die." I said dramatically. "If the dancing doesn't kill me, I'll die a HSC death, no marriage, no kids, just death!" I sighed, Mason knew I was kidding but that didn't stop him from playing along.
"No, Sugar Plum! You can't die on me now! You and I, we have a future together, one that will last a life time." Mason then cradled me in a hug. "All I'm asking for is a few hours, the guys want to see you and Alfie is bringing a friend of his own."
"Is she another ballerina?"
"Uh... no, actually I've never met her before, but this should be good, Alfie's never brought a girl to the garage before."
"Well then just give me a few minutes." I untangled myself from Mason and walked over to my wardrobe.
"Why?"
"Cause I'm in ballet gear." I gestured down to my leotard and tights. "Do you really want your friends to see me like this?"
Mason's expression on his face it was priceless, I don't think I've ever seen Mason's face contorted to jealousy. I laughed at him before I changed into a shirt and black jeggings. I knew my parents weren't going to approve of me ditching homework and dancing to hang out with the boy down the street that they don't approve of. The lecture I got from mum when she found out I'd been out all night had been bad.
