Knowing More...

Mason

I didn't want to let Scarlet go that night, its been getting harder and harder to leave her at her house, I hated leaving her there, she wasn't free to be herself under her parent's roof, she was a lot of fun without her parents breathing down her neck all the time.

I knew what fun was, even though my parents weren't as well off as hers, we knew what fun and family meant. My parents met when they were young, they've told my sister and I the story so many times, they met at a night club, dad had to take a mate of him home, then came back to find mum, they shared a kiss and the rest was history, it was so clear that they love each other. That's what I want, and I so desperately wanted it with Scarlet, but I had no idea how to get out of this friend zone that she's put me in.

We pulled up out the front of her window, after her mother found out that she was out with me, the other night Scarlet decided that it would be easier on both of us to just not give her mother any more ammunition.

Scarlet demounted my bike like a pro, and started to walk to her window. "Sugar Plum!" before I could stop myself, I was off my bike and running over to her, Scarlet stopped and looked at me with the most beautiful blue eyes, usually I would keep my distance when I said goodnight but not this time, this time I backed her against the wall of her house, I pushed a piece of her curly, red hair away from her face, and whispered. "Don't push me away, please."

With a smile, Scarlet surprised me, she snaked her arms around my neck and pulled me in for a kiss, I hadn't kissed her since my party mouths ago. It was better then last time, mostly because I wasn't half-way drink and neither was she. We kissed for what felt like ages, but it couldn't have been more then a few minutes.

As we pulled away from each other, a smile was playing on both of our faces. "Wow." Was all Scarlet said, and I couldn't help but laugh.

"You are beautiful Sugar Plum." I rested my head against hers.

"Stop it Mason." Scarlet pushed me away playfully but I just held on to her tighter.

"No, I'm going to tell you every day just how beautiful you are." I kissed her forehead, and with a smile on my face, I kissed her lips again.

"Okay." Scarlet smiled at me, and with her big blue amazing eyes, asked me to kiss her again... which I did.

When I finally let Scarlet go to sleep I was almost ready to start singing in the street. Instead I gave myself a few celebratory fist pumps in the air.

The next day I sent Scarlet a text.

Me: Are you coming to band practise Sugar Plum?

She replied almost instantly

Sugar Plum: I would love to but Nikki and Cleo have been begging me to hang out with them.

Me: bring them with you.

I didn't even think about it when I sent the text, I should have cleared it with the guys but I wanted to spend time with Scarlet and now I could hopefully make a good impression on her friends.

Sugar Plum: it didn't take a lot of convincing; we'll all be there xx

I sent a text to the guys letting them know what was happening, they all replied at once.

Mason (Front Man) to Fallen Empire: hey guys, I know I should have cleared this with you first but I've invited some of Scar's friends to listen to us.
