The Best Mistake

Scarlet

Waking up the next morning gloriously naked and wrapped up in Mason's body wasn't something that I was used to but I loved it, I was sore in places that I never thought I would be sore, but nothing could ruin this.

"Scarlet! Scarlet honey are you awake?" my mother called from the other side of my door, I definitely spoke too soon, Mason and I sat up, I started running through my head the different ways we could get out of this.

The world must hate me, because the next thing that happened was something straight out of a tv show. My mother and father came bursting into my room, I was naked, my bed cover covering all necessary parts and Mason was sitting next to me, the sheet having fallen from his chest to his waist, luckily it was covering all the bits that I had gotten very acquainted with last night.

"What in the world is this Scarlet!" Mother asked, the vein in her forehead protruding out.

I couldn't find any words, my father was standing behind her, his silence was terrifying. I had always had a closer connection with my father then I did with my mother, so getting nothing but crossed arms and a frown was down right intimidating.

"Young man, I think you should leave." Dad said, in a voice that he only uses with people that he can't stand.

"Dad, mother... can you please just give us a moment?" I asked, totally scared of what was going to happen.

My parents looked at each other for a moment and both – reluctantly – agree. The door closed behind them and I jumped out of bed, and into my walk-in. "Sugar Plum? What's happening here?" I heard Mason ask.

I didn't answer, because for some reason I had tears running down my face. "Sugar Plum?" Mason turned me around and I heard him take in a pained breath. "Scarlet, are you okay? Are you regretting what we did?"

"No! no, I could never regret what we did, I'm just upset that we couldn't have a moment to ourselves this morning, there is something that I need to tell you."

"Baby, what's the matter?"

"Mason, I love you."

Mason looked at me for a second, longest second of my life. I knew I shouldn't have said anything. It was way too soon.

"I love you too Scarlet." I didn't get a chance to react because Mason and I were sharing the most passionate kiss that I had ever experienced.

Once we broke apart, we were breathless. "I'm going to have to deal with my parents." I said, totally breaking the mood.

"Okay baby, you do what you need to do. How about later today, when you're free, you come by my house."

With a nod and one last kiss between us, Mason left out the bedroom door. "Can you at least take the window?" I asked, but with a smirk he was gone out my bedroom.

I got dressed quickly in some gym pants and a singlet top, before making my way down to my parents.

"Scarlet Renee Miller!" My mother shouted as soon as she saw me. "You have the audacity to have relations with that boy in our own house, while your father and I are under the roof! Young lady I hope you realise how serious this is."

"Mother, why can't you be happy for me? I have some serious feelings for Mason and he returns those feelings."

"Scarlet, we have to think about not only your future but also the future of my company and family, I have had your mother train you from a young age so that one day you will make one of my business partner's son's very happy, and produce him with a son yourself."
