Recap: So Haifa wakes up next to Henrie and assumes the worst but all is good in the end and she leaves for her house.
Chapter 3
I could hear a weird bell noise. What was that...I felt so tired and just wanted to sleep but the bell noise came again, the front door I shot up so quick that I gave myself a head rush.
I got out of bed and walked down the stairs, who could it be?
I looked at the clock on the phone and it was 21:15 wow it was night I must have slept all day.
When I got to the door, I opened it, a man in a business suit with short blond hair was standing on my door step.
"Hi," I said
"hello, my name's Oliver I'm here to pick up some cloths for Jack." he explained.
"Jack, how is he?" I enquired.
"Much better, may I come in?" he asked.
"yeah sure" I moved out of the door way and once he was inside I closed the door and lead him to the lounge.
He took a seat and said "Jack needed fresh clothing so I thought I could go and pick up some for him."
"yeah sure I'll go up and pack a bag" I got up to leave "make yourself comfortable Oliver"
"thnx"
I went in to Jack's room and rummaged around for a while until I found a small suitcase. I filled it with underwear, jeans and loads of t-shirts, I even packed his toothbrush and other toiletries. When I got back to the lounge Oliver was still sitting were I left him, he smiled when I came through.
"would you like something to drink?" I asked
"no thank you, I need to get back with this" he said pointing to the suitcase.
"ok" I smiled and lead him to the front door, he got into a blue Mercedes Benz and waved bye I waved back and went inside. I walked up to my bathroom and cleaned up and put on a grey skinny jeans with black ugg boots and a black vest top. Then I went down stairs to the kitchen to make a coffee. I was sitting on my couch sipping at my coffee and watching UglyBetty on Tv when I pressed select it was 10:05 pm...Ffffkkkk...I was late to see Henrie damn, I got up quickly went and split my unfinished coffee in the sink and grabbed my coat and handbag and ran out to my car. When I was in my car I put on the heating on full blast and drove down to the club. When I reached my destination I parked in the parking lot and walked to the front entrance of the club. It was really busy tonight there was a queue which went half way down the street...I could stand in line and say that I got late standing in the queue...ummm no I'll just walk up to the bouncer and let him/her know I'm here to see Henrie. When I reached the bouncer at the door it was the man who found me in the street last night the one with a French accent. I went over to him and tapped him on the shoulder he turned around and took one look at me and with out a word let me into the club I just stared at him he smiled and went back to work. When I was in the foyer it was packed, I felt someone tap me on the shoulder and I turned around, it was Onyx.
"hi" I said
"hi, come the Master been waiting."he explained.
" ok" and I followed him down the same corridor to the office.
"oh y the way I must tell you Jack is very well and he is fitting in quite well the local pack have taken him to there residence." HE explained.
"Oh" was all I could say I was quite shocked Jack was up and about after how I saw him last night.
We reached the door marked 'PRIVATE' Onyx knocked and the a black attired man opened the door he ushered me in and left. When I was in the office I looked around and only Henrie was sitting at his desk with a serious face on.
I walked over to the desk " I am so sorry Mr. Adonis but I lost track of time"
He smiled and said "do not worry (put here French for my love) , at least you are here." he replied he got up and walked around the desk to me and pulled out a seat "come take a seat" he indicated.
I walked over and sat down he went round to the edge of the desk and sat on it he was wearing his hair loose today down his back it was layered short and whispy at the front to frame his face and long at the back, he was wearing a black shirt with a red cravat with a single diamond pin in the middle and black dress trousers with dress shoes, he looked quite elegant and beautiful I couldn't help but stare.
He cleared his throat I looked up and instantly felt myself blush a sweet smile was playing on his lips.
I overcame my embarrassment and said "so you called me here to talk about..."I trailed off missing the word my 'mental barrier'.
His facial expressions changed to serious with in seconds and he said "yes, I have been enquiring about your...ability and I have found that not many people can do this and it is a result of very powerful magic" he explained.
Brilliant I to be unusual and especially around creatures of the night.
"so what is it?" I asked.
" it is a mental energy your brain makes when someone is trying to cross into your mind" he explained, "but this barrier can only be formed my magic, so you wouldn't have to know about this magic?" he asked with a serious look in his eyes.
"of course I don't know, I didn't even know Vampires and Were's existed until last night." I said.
He stared at me and after a few bloodcurdling moments, then he smiled and said "I believe you, but what could have given you this magic?" I think that was a rhetorical question because I certainly didn't know the answer.
