He stood there, holding your heart motionless. Your breathe seemed to be thinned. Your feelings blurred.
"What are you going to do now Peter?" You asked, all emotion gone. He kept looking at your heart in shock. He looked at you and his color drained.
"You don't look like yourself," he whispered. He lifted the heart and plunged it back into your chest. Air rushed into your lungs. A single tear went down your cheek. Peter stumbled back a little. "What is wrong with me?"
You reached out for him. "Peter, it's okay, you're confused, just let me help." You grabbed his upper arms. He tried to not look at you in the eyes. You brushed some hair from his forehead. "Let's go back to the Enchanted Forest. We can get our own cottage. We can live together for forever. Jus-"
"No," he interrupted. "Don't see what is wrong with us." He shrugged you off. "You want to kill me, I almost killed you."
"The apprentice can help us."
"That magician doesn't know anything. He's an apprentice."
"Peter, he helped us. He lead me to you when you died. He made sure that I wouldn't turn fully dark."
"Haven't you ever thought about that. He set this whole thing up. You and Felix going to the real world. Felix coming to Neverland. You coming to Neverland. It sounds like some twisted plan created by an old man with nothing better to do."
Peter sat down on a rock and put his face in his hands. You walked over him and sat down next to him. "We can make this work, we just need balance. Kind of like your waterfall." He looked up at you confused. "When you were dark, Neverland was, but there was that sliver of beauty in the waterfall. And when you were light, that waterfall was dark and ugly," you explained.
"What does that have to do with all of this?" He asked still confused.
"It's yin and yang, there isn't darkness without lightness and there's no lightness without darkness."
"So right now we're balanced," Peter said confidently. "I'm on my dark side, but still have my lightness which is you. And you are on your lightness, but your darkness is your thoughts and me." He was actually right.
You smiled and he smiled in response. The both of you were actually equal. Yes, you were still the dark one, but he balanced you out and he did the same.
You wrapped your arms around his neck, kissing him. "I'm so happy right now Peter," you whispered into his ear. You felt his arms wrap around your body. He stroked your hair gently. "The question is, will this stay the same?"
"We just have to find out, but for now we should appreciate what is now." You let go and he grabbed your hand. The two of you stood up and walked out of the cave. He had some dust and poured it on yourselves. You flew in the night sky, together, for the first time in what seemed like centuries.
The scenery was still the same. All dark and scary, but it wasn't scary anymore to you anymore it was like home. Just like Felix first said when you first came came here. This place did turn into a home for you. It was the only home you had.
You landed at the waterfall. Peter held onto still. You could feel him tense up. "Peter, I'm fine," you said. He turned and tried looking at something that wasn't there. "What do you see?"
"It's him," he whispered. He grabbed you, hugging you close to his body. There was a huge gust of wind.
"Well, well, well, it's seems you still have that soft side Pan," a familiar, cold voice said. It was he shadow. You could feel yourself shaking. "I thought the both of you died, but then I rose back, why's that?"
"Get away Shadow," Peter yelled. He now had his hand on the back your head. "You need to get out of here (y/n)," Peter whispered into your ear.
You panicked. "No, not without you Peter, I need you, you ne-"
"I summoned him by pulling out your heart, he wants you dead."
"Tick tick Pan, are going to kill the girl?" Shadow taunted.
You knew this was end. Peter made a mistake that take forever to repay to the shadow. Peter was slave if he didn't kill you. The thing is that you couldn't be killed and neither could Peter. It would be an endless, tortuous cycle. You had to fake it.
"Promise me that we see each other again Peter," you said and wriggled out of his arms, grabbing the bottle of dreamshade. "You wanted me dead Shadow?" You screamed to the shadow. "Well, here I go." You uncorked the bottle and drank it. It burned in your throat. It snake to your stomach. Your heart beat slowed, breathe thinned. You heard a faint shout of your name and you fell into something soft and warm. The rest was black and cold. You were dead.

Peter POV
She drank the poison, risking her life for mine. I rushed to her as she fell. I could hear the faint cackles of the shadow. I could barely hear him even though he was right next the me.
I held her lifeless body in my arms. Her skin had blackness in all the veins, like she was encased in a thin black net. Her eyes were still open though. They were still the same (e/c) I remembered with the small black veins. I closed her eyelids. A tear fell onto her cheek. I whipped my eyes and set her down gently.
"There, you got what you wanted, she's gone," I yelled at the shadow. "Now what?"
"Oh, that all. She was a problem to Neverland. Because of her you are soft and I don't like soft people." He said. "You can just leave her her and never come back, you belong to me now." He turned and flew into the jungle.
I looked back at (y/n) and saw something on her face. Her skin was still alive. I leaned down and listened. There was a shallow breathe. She was still alive.
I stood up quickly and felt a head rush. I ignored it, it wasn't that bad. I was just to happy that she was still alive.
