Ian took in a deep breath as he opened his eyes. His mind was blank, he didn't have any memory of what happened last night. Ian sat up on the bed and sat there. He was forcing himself to remember what happened. He looked around the room, completely purple. He was confused, he has never seen this room before. He stood up and walked outside.
"Very funny guys-" He stopped himself from saying anything else. He looked to his left and right, seeing the long hallway. He walked to the stairs balcony, looking down below. He was in Islands home. Was I sleepwalking? Ian asked himself.
"Good morning Ian," Eva said with a smile, walking out of her room. He stared at her, her hair was back to black. Ian was confused, he wondered why she had suddenly changed it. She walked down the hallway and downstairs. Ian followed behind her, trying to understand what happened to him.
"What am I doing here? What happened?" Ian asked, following close behind. Eva continued to walk.
"You fell on your head." Eva turned around sharply. She placed her hands on her hips and smiled brightly. Ian took a step back. He didn't remember anything about him falling on his head. He doesn't even remember coming here and why.
"You're different." Ian pointed out, squinting his eyes. Eva cocked her head and looked at him confusedly. It was because she was herself, the same bitchy, brat that everyone has missed.
"How is that?" Eva frowned at him, really wanted to know how different she was.
"You're not smiling," Ian told her, Eva rolled her eyes and laughed. The missing pieces of her memory were back. "Your hair is jet black."
"Am I not supposed not smile?" Eva rose her chin up.
"I don't know- I just...I want to know what I'm doing here and what happened." Ian asked her, softly. He didn't care about anything else, he just wanted to go home and figure out what happened. "It's like I don't remember a thing after I left school." Ian touched on top of his head and felt a bump on it.
"I told you. You were being clumsy, tripped and fell...on your head." Eva touched Ian's bump.
"Ouch!" Ian said, dunking her. He covered his head with his hands so that Eva wouldn't touch it anymore. Eva didn't seem like herself, Ian thought. "What was I doing here?" Ian asked her, looking around. Eva shrugged her shoulders but she did know. She knew that Ian came to the house to see what was going on with them. Ian nodded, believing her and trusting her. "Okay, If I bumped my head...why didn't you take me to the hospital?" Ian asked her, looking directly into her eyes. Eva stopped, looking into his daring blue eyes. A small grin formed on her face.
"Because Iris knows first-aid." Eva walked into the kitchen, Ian heard laughter but one in particular. It was loud, warm, beautiful laugh that he would love to hear for the rest of his life. He followed Eva into the kitchen to see what she was talking about. He hadn't seen Iris in 4 weeks, thinking that she had been dead. He walked in to see Iris laughing, her head cocked back with her eyes closed and her mouth wide open. Ian wanted to know what was making her laugh and he saw Brooke. Brooke was leaning in, holding onto Iris' hand while she laughed. Ian looked over and saw Allison making breakfast while Eva and Island were talking about something.
"Ian!" A voice said excitedly, he looked and Iris was coming towards him. He felt so nervous, scared to even look at her or touch her. She stood directly in front of him, Ian thought her smile was so beautiful and delightful. He didn't know what to say to her but...
"It's good to see you," Ian said to her. Iris smiled, nodding. She looked over at her friends, then at her sister and then back at Ian.
"I heard you were worried about me." Iris chuckled, Ian hung his down in embarrassment. He realized that he was obsessing over nothing.
"I just wanted to see if you're okay." Ian raised his eyebrows. Only if he could explain how worried he was for her.
"Always." Iris smiled, Ian squinted his eyes like he heard her say that before.
"Always," Ian mumbled to himself. Ian swallowed, he nodded and gave her a smile. Iris didn't know what to say to the boy but she knew she wasn't properly introduced. "Iris." Iris held out her hand to shake Ian's. Ian felt a certain deja vu.
"Ian." Ian smirked, shaking her hand."Hi." He said to her, still holding her hand.
"Hi." She smiled back. They all seemed innocent, having nothing to do with this town.
"Uh, thanks for taking care of me. You guys didn't really have to do that." Ian said with a confused smile.
"We didn't want too but Iris said we should," Island said coldly looking up at her sister. Iris crossed her arms, she smacked her lips and gave Island a 'be nice' look.
"Thanks," Ian told her, looking back into her hazel eyes.
"Its fun being a hero," Iris told him.
"All you did was help him from the ground and bring him inside." Brooke chuckled, they all laughed even Ian. Iris looked back at her with a smile but she was a little embarrassed.
"Yea, I tended to his aide," Iris said. She turned around back to Ian. The doorbell rang, Iris grabbed Ian and walked over to the door. Everyone followed behind them. Iris opened the door, wide enough so Nicolas and Lyle could see everyone.
"Island," Nicolas said with a cocky smile, looking down at Iris. Iris smirked, looking back at her sister.
"Your right, he does have this dumb look on his face." Iris laughed, looking back. Ian moved aside and walked out of the door. "Wrong twin," Iris winked at him.
"Iris." He said her name, Iris bowed and looked confident. "The one that Ian's been obsessed about." Nicolas chuckled, Ian shoved Nicolas a little. Nicolas couldn't keep his eyes off of Iris and she knew that.
"Well, who wouldn't." Iris chuckled, Nicolas smiled. Iris looked over at Lyle who was looking at Ian's bump. "He's going to be fine, Lyle," Iris told her, Lyle quickly looked at her and wondered how she knew her name. "Island told me." Iris smiled, answering Lyle's question. Nicolas took a step back from their porch to be respectful.
"Good to see that you're okay," Lyle said mysteriously. Iris nodded.
"Well see you tomorrow," Nicolas told her. Iris shrugged. They turned around and started to help Ian down the driveway to Lyle's car.
"And Ian!" Iris yelled, they stopped and turned around to look up at her. There was a pause but Iris filled it with her beautiful smile. Brooke walked up next to Iris and laid her head on her shoulder. "Come by more often. It's fun to have you." Iris told him.
"Okay...always," Ian promised. Iris walked into the home, slamming the door behind her.
"I don't like them." Iris huffed. Island giggled and wrapped her arms around her sister for a hug.
"It's good to have you back," Island said to her and it felt good.
