Chapter 2: Welcome to Infinite World

I open my eyes and see the game data loading all around me. Then a room was created and a figure showed up.

"Hello! My name is Lulu and I will be helping you create your character!"

She sounded really energetic. She was an NPC, or a non-player character. Basically a program set by the game creators.

"Do you want to be a soldier? Archer?"

"Can you show me a model of the selections?" I asked.

"Sure thing!"

She smiles and snapped her fingers. Figures of every type appeared in front of me. An archer, soldier, mage, and a whole bunch of others appeared and showed their abilities above them.

"Which one should be recommended to me?" I asked as I skimmed through the info of the characters.

"What type of weapon do you like?" Lulu asked.

"I like close range weapons. I also want to use magic at the same time."

I walk by a whole bunch of characters looking at the abilities.

"Ok! I'll get rid of all the far range weapon users."

And she did. All the characters like archers and mage disappeared and characters like soldiers, soul reaper and some others were left. Then I stopped at one character that looked interesting.

"The alchemist?"

Lulu asked as she walked towards me and stopped beside me. I nodded my head and raised my hand to click on the alchemist button.

"Thats a good choice. You can summon your weapon or beast to fight with. Pretty amazing."

Lulu loaded the character and some other settings.

"What weapon?" She asked.

"A sword." I replied.

Lulu nodded and selected the sword as the weapon on her little screen.

"Ok. All set to go! Just some customization and you will be teleported to a city." Lulu was getting ready to set my character.

"Can you set my character with black straight hair and brown eyes?" I gave her my requests for my character and she set it up really quickly.

"Alright! All done. Now on you go to Floura City!"

"Wait wha-"
Lulu swiped her screen away and pushed me from behind. I fell forward and into a big black hole that appeared on the floor.

I closed my eyes and felt the wind hit my face as I fell deeper into the blackness. When I opened my eyes I found myself in a city.

"This must be the city Lulu was talking about." I said as I got up.

I looked at my surroundings and found many players here teaming up with others. Then I saw one player that looked similar to my best friend. She had long blond hair and glasses the same color as her reality glasses.

"Evie?"
I asked abouts I walked up to her. She turned around and looked at me surprised.

"Is that you, Zuri?" She replied. I nod my head and looked around.

"This place is crowded." I said looking at the other players.

"It is. Let's go somewhere where there's less people around. I can barely hear myself talk."

Evie led the way towards her little apartment. It was small but just enough for one person.

"This is my little house. It's not cheap but it isn't expensive either."

she sat on one of her sofas. I looked around and then sat on a sofa across from her. I then looked at her game name that appeared above her head.

"Eden?" I ask.

"Yup. Game name. I like that name and i dont really want people to know my real name. Eden will be what everyone can call me," she smiled,"So no Evie in the game." she said. I nodded and looked out the window.

My game name was simple. It was Zuri11 cause I don't really care about hiding my real name.

"Well, this is Infinite World. Let's enjoy this game!"

She reach a fist out for a fist pump. I smiled and gave her a fist pump.

"Let's get along in this game."
