"Let's see what you can do." Eden said as she went through her inventory.
"How do I get my weapon out?" I asked.
"Your an alchemist so you do it differently than I do since I'm a mage."
"That helps." I mumble.
I swipe my hand to the right in front of me, making a small screen appear. I was told by Lulu that I would receive a beginners sword called the Thin Blade while I was creating my character.
I opened the menu and searched how to get my weapon out. After about 3 minutes I found a small paragraph of how to get the weapon and tried it out while reading the instructions out loud.
"Place your hand on a flat surface and focus on creating a small portal. Then create a spell that summons your sword. Then you will see your sword in the portal, grab it and pull it out of its sheath inside the portal."
I was confused for a moment. I placed my hand on the floor and focused on creating a portal the size of my hand. The portal was a purple colored aura and lit up the floor.
I then tried to think up a phrase but couldn't think of one. Then I saw a small box appear on a screen in front of me, it was a game phrase for beginners. I read it to myself silently for a few seconds and looked at the small portal under my hand and recited the phrase.
"Come on out and fight beside me, Thin Blade!"
Then the aura from the portal started glowing even brighter than before. I looked at the portal and saw something inside it. I reached for the sword and pulled it out of the portal.
"I did it!" I shouted as I looked at the sword with surprise.
"You did it! Good job!" Eden jumped up and down clapping.
I looked down towards the floor to look at the portal. The portal had already disappeared right after I took the sword.
"Well, you know how to take your weapon out. Wanna go look around town?" Eden asked.
"Sure. Why not?" I said.
"Just need to put the sword away."
It took me a while to figure out how to do that though.I had to focus on my weapon and try to say that the jobs done in my mind. Which was really weird if you ask me. It was like telekinesis but a little different. When I "told" my sword that the job was done, the sword broke into little bits of pieces and faded away.
"Alright. Let's go!"
I ran out the door and Eden followed. Once we were outside, the town was still crowded but not as crowded as it was when I joined the game.
I looked around as we walked down a road to see what was in the game. There were restaurants, weapon shops, armor shops, and many other stores. After we walked all around the city I thought about leveling up and fighting monsters.
"We should go to the forest!" I said after we stopped at a map.
"Okay." Eden looked for a shortest route to the forest and I was just watching people walk by.
Just letting you guys know, I'm not very good at things like reading maps.
"We should go south if we want to go to the forest." Eden looked at me.
"Okay. To the forest!" I started walking on a path that was behind the map.
"Other way, Zuri."
I turn around and see Eden pointing the opposite direction of where I was going.
"Right." I said as I made a U-turn and walked past Eden.
After walking all the way across the town, which felt like decades, we finally made it to the forest.
"I wonder what kind of monsters are here."
Eden looked a little worried as I started walking into the forest.
"Maybe this isn't a good idea. It's going to get dark soon, too." Eden looked behind her as she followed me into the forest.
"Chill! It's not dark yet. Well be fine. We will be out of here before dark." I said as I looked around the forest.
As we kept going through the forest, a wolf appeared in front of us and started growling.
"Time to start leveling up!" I shouted and got my sword and leapt forward towards the wolf.
