Play they shall

My hand became numb as the cold water flowed from the top of the glass, at the moment I couldn't even think about the coldness all I could think of was why is Leo here ?

Did he hear what happened between me and Declan ?

I gulped and slowly moved my hand away from the ice cold water, shakily setting it on the counter top my eyes never leaving Leos penetrating gaze.

No way he heard us through the window ...right ?

Frowning slightly at the thought I quickly shake my head and walk towards the back door, Leo following my movements every time I stopped he stopped and when started walking so did he.

Declan's house has glass doors so everyone can see inside and everyone outside can see everyone inside. If I lived here I would feel so damn exposed to world.

Moving my shaking hand to the plastic door handle I press down on the handle and push it forward letting the cold breeze hit my body.

Goose bumps appeared over my arms as I opened the door, using my free hand I rub my left arm up and down to warm my self up.

I froze slightly not opening the door fully, would it be wise to let him in ?

It was like Leo sensed my hesitation to not let him and his face twisted into a snarl. Both of his hand clenched to his side, veins started to appear up his arm at the pressure Leo was putting in his hand.

His chest was moving rapidly against his straining t-shirt as he took deep breaths in and out.

"Move Payne" Leo basically snarled at me as he held onto the other side of the door pulling it in his direction making me stumble forward a little.

I let go of the handle at his command and moved back, I don't want to get in the way of a pissed off male.

Especially if it's Leo.

Leo slammed the door open making me wince as the glass cracked a little at the force Leo put in.

"Where is that scum?" Disgust rolled off him in waves as his eyes darted towards the dinning room.

No.

"Leo please think about this before you go charging in there" I said pleadingly thinking about poor Lucas I feel like he was witnessed crazy Leo enough I don't want to scar him for life by witnessing the wrath of Leo.

His head snapped in my direction and his body tensed.

I let out a nervous laugh and hid myself behind the counter, "You know Lucas is in there right ?" Scratching my head nervously I gave Leo a strained smile.

Leo cocked his head to the side and looked at me with a small smile on his face. I blinked at the action is he really smiling ?

"Lucas is old enough to understand that I will fight for what is mine" Leo stated while moving closer to me, his voice turning slightly husky as he pressed his large hands on top of the marble counter top.

"Murder is one risk I am willing to take" Leo whispered the last part to me as he bit his bottom lip, the thing that scared me the most was the look of excitement running through his eyes when the words poured out of his mouth.

My body began to shake slightly as I took a deep breath in "Leo why are you acting like this?" I whispered looking  at Leo with fearful eyes.

Leo scoffed at my question and shook his head his head suddenly snapped in my direction "You know exactly why, Payne you're a clever girl figure it out" His voice becoming more and more detached.

I gulped and shook my head what the hell is he on about?

Leo threw his hands up feeling frustrated at my reaction, Leos body tensed as he slowly began to make his way around the marble counter towards me.

Oh hell no.

There is no way I am letting him get that close to me when he's acting like a demented bitch.

"I'll give you a few hints" Leo's  deep voice drawled as his index finger trailed the counter top as he made his way towards me. Walking backwards I shake my head.

I really don't want to know dread began to fill my body as his face broke out into a grin, one that made my toes curl but not in a good way the feeling of pure fear rushing into my body.

"What do you think about this ?" Leos voice became deeper and more sinister as he held out his hand towards me, and like a horror film I watched Leos warm form hand transform into claws.

The sound of tearing flesh made me want to vomit as I watched his fucking finger split into flaws. My legs shook with fear as my hand went up to cover my mouth to stop myself screaming.

Leo pouted at my reaction then smirked as he moved his hand towards the window where the moons light came into the room. He inspected his hand them looked at me "Don't you like them Paybe ? I personally would like them sharper don't you think ?" He questioned bringing his hand away from the moon light he lightly scratched the top layer of the marble making a sound that made me want to rip out my ears.

My body was frozen I couldn't move or speak it was if my body was paralysed , what the fuck is Leo ?

"Or maybe you would like these" Leos voice suddenly dropped into a deep animalistic tone small growls left his mouth as he looked up and slowly moved his to face my shaking form.

His eyes were now pitch black, his whole friggin eye is black I couldn't see any traces of white. My eyes moved to his open mouth, letting out a sharp gasp I stare at the sharp elongated teeth in Leos mouth.

My heart began thumping against my chest rapidly as I stared at the monster In front of me.

He moved his elbows onto the marble top and let his tongue glide over his sharp canines.

"And these are yours Payne for when I use them to bite into that soft piece of skin and mark you as mine" Leo growled lowly at the thought and suddenly jumped onto the counter top, landing onto the marble with a loud thud I quickly glance at the black work top, there were cracks forming under Leos weight as he rolled his head back.

"We have all been waiting too long in the shadows. Tonight we take what  rightfully belongs to us. Tonight humans will see what lurks in the shadows at night" Leos held so much power and authority he have his speech me looking at him with wide eyes. 

He then let out a roar that had me falling onto my knees my head looking down at the ground, no matter how much I wanted to I could move from this position I struggled to breath as my body went slack and fell onto the floor.

The floor shook slightly I saw a familiar pair of shoes hit the ground making me flinch, black spots started to cover my vision I watched the now blurry shoes move closer and closer my body began to shut down.

And all I saw was darkness.
