A path to forgivness

"Wasn't that too easy to get rid of her?" Chris questioned as he let my arm drop. I rubbed my hands over my face "It was almost too easy like it didn't happen" I looked at Chris and shrugged "Just goes to show witches are stupid as fuck"

Chris just stared at me before nodding "agreed"

"Do you think you think they'll be in meeting room?" Chris asked, he shoved his hands In his pockets as we walked into the pack house "I think so, trying to think of a place big enough to hold this pack in one place" I shrugged and kicked a ball that was in the hall way.

We walked in silence for a bit before I hesitantly  asked "So Chris, what are you going to do about.. your situation?" I tried to phrase it as nicely as I could without stepping on his toes. Chris let out a sigh and I looked to at him to see his eyebrows had furrowed.

"There isn't much I can do. I just have to make do with this mating business, just because we got rid of witches doesn't mean everything will go back to normal. We humans know about wolves and that will never change" Chris's words sounded empty as he stared blankly at the stair case we were going towards.

I looked away and crossed my arms over my chest. He's not wrong, we're still in the same position, we just don't have witches messing with anything. The possessiveness is real, the wolf side of them is real, nothing about what we have witnessed before the witch was fake.

We will have to live with that for the rest of our lives.

"I have to accept that I will never be able to go near tiddies ever again" I lightly punched his arm "Chris, this is a real conversation here" I scolded as we made it up the stairs. "Who said I was joking? I will never be in a pussy or worship tiddies ever again. Do you know how sad that is ?" Chris said seriously as he stopped walking.

"Now my tiddies are being touched up and I don't like it" Chris scrubbed up his face "I feel like this is karma for being such a man whore. If I just kept Chris Sr in my pants maybe I'm wouldn't have been handed such as bad card"
Chris ranted as he looked down at his trousers.

I raised an eyebrow "Chris sr?" Chris hugged and patted his front area "Well it definitely isn't jr" he snorted as he gave me 'bitch please look' "and no one will ever know it. Apart from ... my mate" Chris chocked on the last of part he carried on walking.

I followed after him, walking up the second set of stairs, I stood closer to the railing the cold wood started to feel clammy under my hands we made it closer to our destination. Technically, if they're all under a spell, we could just run? The thought was tempting, but what life would I be living? On the run constantly, living in fear and paranoia and never actually belonging anywhere. I can't live like that.

Each step I took felt heavy as my thoughts started to weigh me down, "Well what about you?" Chris voices broke me out of my trance and I cleared my throat "What about me?"  I really wanted to avoid this conversation I didn't even want to think about my future with Leo.

"Don't act stupid. You know exactly what I mean. Are you going to forgive him?" Chris questioned and I felt anger fill my body as we reached the last step. I turned my body to face his "Why should I forgive him? Did you see what he did to me? In front of the whole pack ? How can I forgive that ?" I snapped, Chris's eyes held sympathy before they were quickly replaced with determination.

"You know damn well he wasn't in his right mind. Why did we close that portal ?" Chris snapped back and crossed his arms around his chest, I clenched my jaw and looked away. I know he's right,  but how do I do that  ?

"What's your plan exactly ? Run away? Or hold live your entire life being depressed? Whether you like it or not, this is our reality. We can't escape it" Chris let out a sigh and rubbed a hand across his face "Look, I take it back. You don't have to forgive him straight away, but you got to find a way to make this easier do you. Work towards forgiveness" and Chris walked up to me and placed a palm over my heart and looked directly into my now teary eyes "Sweet cheeks I don't know how much your heart can take before it stops beating" he moved his hand to gently uncross my hands from chest and held my hand in his.

"Do this for yourself. Start to live again have a reason for your heart to keep on beating " I sniffled as a tear fell down my cheek, I used my free hand and wiped away the tear before I gave him s shaky smile "Cheesy speech, I did t know you had it in you" we both laughed as he let go of my hand.

"You'll be surprised with what I can do sweetness. Just think about it okay?" His voice softened at the end and he looked at the training door "Well, that's us. Let's see if they're in here and if the spell had broken" Chris changed the subject and put his hands in his pocket.

I sniffled a bit and wiped away the tears in my eyes. I know he's right, it's not just about Leo but about me. I need to live for myself, and really want it. By doing that, I have to come face to face with the person that has caused me this pain.

I let out a deep breath and followed Chris as he opened the door. It was silent as we walked in, the door softly shut behind us as we took in the scene in front of us. It was like everyone was frozen, some people were sitting, my eyes grazed over a couple that looked like they were talking mid way.

"She literally froze them" Chris was in awe as he went and lightly touched the frozen hand of a pack member "that's so strange. They're frozen but they're still so warm" now it was my turn to give him a 'really' look. " just because they're frozen doesn't mean they have to be cold" I shook my head as I looked at the faces of some of the pack members.

I heard a huff but ignored it as I walked further into the room, carefully avoiding touching packs members as I moved past them all "This really freaky" I mumbled when I noticed their eyes were open. "Tell me about it" Chris said as he walked past me and stood in front of his mate.

"Well this is me" he pointed at the huge male who had a snarl stuck on his face, I nodded "Good luck" I patted his shoulder and spotted a familiar figure.

There sat Leo frozen with his head in his hands, as I walked closer to him my heart began to beat fast and my hands became clammy. Could I really forgive him and accept this life?  I took a deep breath and stood in front of a sitting down Leo. I hesitantly moved my hand into his soft, hair. 

"What am I going to do?" I muttered as my eyes raked over his muscly form. I'm not sure how long this spell is going take to go away, but from what it looks like it will take a while. I moved my hand out his hair and looked around to see if anyone else had broken free . 

Chris was still standing in front of his mate, clicking his fingers in his face as he tried to wake him. Chris sighed and looked at me "Maybe we should just sit and wait" he pointed at the chairs near Leo. I nodded and put my hands in pocket and sat down on the metal seat.

Chris sat down next to me and looked at his watch "Lets wait this out"

It took around 2 hours for them all to unfreeze, I couldn't help but curse Cedar. The spell will break soon my ass. Leo was sitting next me, his hand gripping mine as he took in everything that I had explained about Selene.  

Leo shook his head "You know th two of you could have died right?" He sounded disappointed as he looked at me with a raised eyebrow. I shrugged "Yeah and we all could have been dead" I looked at our joined and hands and let go our joined hands. 

Chris's words kept on running through my mind. I need to do this for myself. 

Leos snapped down and he looked hurt as he clenched his now empty hand. "Look Leo" I licked my lips and moved my body to face him. Leo leaned back and crossed his beefy arms crossed his chest. "So about us" I pointed between us. 

"I-i don' think I can forgive you for what happened.." I trailed off as I saw the distraught look his face, his tensed up as he started to unfold his arms "But"I stopped and moved my hand to his arm "I can try too" I said softly and I bit my lip "first you need to fix whatever mess between human and wolves.. make is equal" I said and tucked my hair behind my hair. 

Leo looked less tense now and put a warm hand across "I can do that" He nodded and I let out a deep breath "I think we should start from the beginning" I let go of his arm and stood up and turned my body to face Leo "Hi, my names Payne. What's yours?" I smiled at Leo as he let out a husky chuckle and slowly stood up and clasped my hand in his. 

"My names Leo"
