Once I am done setting up my stuff I put it to the side and start flicking through the channels of the T.V waiting for Nick to come, so we can go out to eat and then start looking for our stuff. Speaking of food I still haven't had breakfast so I go and get a pack of cookies from my pantry and sit down and turn on Netflix on the T.V and start watching Arrow. It's such a good show, but I am not caught up yet, so I start where I left off in Season 2 Episode 8 when Barry Allen comes and helps Oliver Queen solve a case.

I was so focused on the show that I didn't realize the bell rang until it rang a second time. When I check the time it says 2:30 and I am shocked, I didn't even realize how fast the time went by.

I got up and walked to the door and saw it was Nick at the door, so I opened up the door and gave him a smile, "Hey Nick, sorry I didn't realize someone rang the bell until you rang it the second time." I told him blushing a bit embarrassed.

Nick chuckled and walked in, "It's okay Sky, I am sorry I am late."

"Okay, well where do you want to go to eat, and think fast because I am starving." I asked him while closing the door then turning around to face him.

"Where do you want to go?" He asked me.

"I don't really care where we go, but since I asked you first, you get to choose, and also because you are driving." I told him giving him a smile.

"Fine then, I will take you somewhere, but it will be a surprise, so you can't ask." He told me grinning.

I chuckled, "Okay that is fine with me, even though I hate surprises."

He shook his head playfully at me, "Well you will have to bear with me for this surprise."

"I will try to." I told him laughing.

"Okay, so let's go." He told me.

"Okay, but let me put on my boots, oh and I am going to leave my laptop and other stuff here except for the camera, so I can record." I told him.

"Okay that is fine." He said.

"You can wait for me in the car if you want, and I will meet you there." I tell him.

"Okay." He says and walks out.

I quickly pull my boots on and do a once over of myself in the mirror and then grab my camera and head out. I locked the front door and went and got into Nicks car.

For the first few minutes there was an awkward silence in the car until he decided to break it, and I thanked him internally.

"So, Sky what's up? How are you and all?"

"Nothing really, this week I have been hanging out with my cousins and all, because they practically begged me to come stay over at their house. What about you, what's up with you?"

"Nothing really than the usual for me, school, work, family, and friends." He told me smiling.

But, we fell into another awkward silence, because neither of us knows the other well, so we don't know what the right thing to say to the other is.

We sat in silence for another 10 minutes until Nick broke it again, "Sky." I looked up at him and said, "Yeah."

"Sky, why don't you talk to me like your other friends? At first I thought you weren't comfortable with guys that are outside of your family, but I have seen the way you talk to Jake, sometimes it seems like you guys know each other better than you guys let on for others to see..." that is because we do, "and then you also talk to Jace, even though he annoys you, but you don't talk to me like that, you are not open with me. Sky have I done something wrong to you or something?" He asks me and also mentions Jace's name with disgust.

I look at him confused, "Nick what are you talking? I talk to you. In fact I am talking to you right now." I tell him.

"Never mind just forget about it." He says, but he still looks irritated.

"No Nick, I need to know what is bothering you so I can fix it."

"No Sky, it's fine.... And I really don't want to ruin any of our moods." He told me, "And the restaurant is here too." He told me, and when I looked up I saw it was some Mediterranean restaurant, and I squealed and jumped in my seat, forgetting about our earlier conversation. I absolutely love Mediterranean food, how did Nick know?

"Nick, how did you know I liked Mediterranean food?" I asked him

"You can call it a lucky guess, and I have heard you say that you love Mediterranean food too. And I also like Mediterranean as well. So, it worked out for both of us." He told me giving me a small smile.

When he parked the car, we both got out and went in and picked a booth in the back near the glass. We waited for the waiter to come and when he came we looked at our menus and ordered lunch for ourselves. I tried to keep a light conversation going between Nick and me because of what he said in the car. But, he still seemed a bit distant.

When the food came, it smelt delicious, and my stomach grumbled at the mouthwatering scent, and Nick chuckled and I sent him a glare and dug into my food as quickly as it came. During our meal, I tried to keep our conversation going, and Nick seemed to be returning to a good mood, and I was happy.

By the time we were done it was 3:45, and I wanted to get to the forest as soon as possible so we could gather as much information as we could about our project.

"Hey Nick, don't you think that we should get going, so we can get as much information as we can."

"Yeah, you are right Sky, let's go." He said, and then called for the check, we both bickered about who would pay the bill, but he ended up winning in the end, by guilt tripping me and saying it's not fair and I caved in for the kid, and then he was grinning like a mad person because he had won.

"Thank you Nick for lunch, it was really nice of you." I told him when we got into the car and gave him a smile.

"It was nothing really, but you're welcome." He said giving me a smile in return, but then the car fell into another silence again, and I was running out of things to talk about so I decided to turn the radio on.

Counting Stars by OneRepublic was coming on, and this is one of my other favorite songs, so I turned the volume up and started singing along.
