It took us 20 minutes for the tour to end, the mansion was so big that it took us that long to explore every inch of the house. After the tour, Jax then lead me to the 2nd floor and into a large room with mint green walls. The cream carpeted floor was soft against my feet wearing a pair of brand new Chuck Taylor's.
My eyes examined the room and it landed on a queen-sized bed on the middle of the room, a nightstand was perched right next to it with a pink lamp that sat on top of it. A door was wide open as it revealed a huge bathroom with a bathtub and a large mirror that covered half of the wall. A wide set of closed doors were at the other side of the room. 'Probably the terrace' I thought as I continued to inspect my surroundings.
Another door was wide open and behind it, a room with hangers, drawers, and a make-up table was set. 'Probably the closet' I thought while I walked inside the room.
"Ummm do you need help with your bags downstairs?" Jax asked me as he stood at my doorway, as if he was afraid to go inside the room. "Oh sure, I almost forgot about that" I chuckled at him.
He lead me down the grand staircase and at the massive wooden doors, he pulled one of the handles with ease and opened it. When he did, a guy was standing at Jax's doorsteps; his hands were outstretched to reach the doorbell. The teenage boy looked surprised as the front door swung open.
"Ace" Jax greeted as the guy gave me a perplexed look. "Hey dude, who's the chick? She's fine, very, very fine..." he trailed off as his did an elevator up to my face. I grimaced at his behavior, my lips setting into a thin line.
"Excuse me, but do you even have manners?" I retorted quite rudely. "Ace, this is the person staying with me for the next few months" he said while giving him a subtle glare, as if telling him to back off.
"Sorry dude, I didn't know she was your girlfriend" Ace said as he held his hands up, making a surrendering action. I choked on my own saliva as I heard what he said, Jax then slapped him at the back of his head.
"No you idiot, she's staying at my house because her parents requested my dad. She happened to know Angel so Dad allowed her" he explained to the imbecile, Ace.
"Ohhh okay, but where are you two going? On a date?" Ace teased as Jax slapped him at the back of his head again. I laughed at their immatureness and headed to my car, walking between the two arguing teenage boys.
I opened my trunk and took all the bags of clothes out of it and placed it on the ground. I slammed the lid of the trunk down which created a sound that stopped both guys with their bantering. I carried all my bags in both hands and stopped near the front door as Jax and Ace were blocking the doorway while quarreling like an old couple.
A faked a cough and I got their attention "As much as I want to watch you argue all day, I have to put my stuff in my room" I said as they both cleared away from the door. "Do you need help with that?" they both said at the same time.
"Jinxed" they said simultaneously "Jinxed again, you owe me a soda" you said in complete synchronization. I stared at them weirdly as another argument started. I walked up the stairs as both of them trailed behind me, still arguing who owes who a soda. 'Boys' I groaned internally as they never stopped until we reached my room.
I dropped all my stuff on the carpeted floor, in the end, they didn't even help me with my bags. I laid on my bed as I stared at the ceiling as I drowned both their voices. My thoughts were drifting to different topics every 5 seconds but one question remained stuck in my head.
'How am I going to pull this off?' I questioned myself as Jax and Ace relentlessly continued with their useless quarreling.
