It has been a month and I still didn't hear from Yasmin. I had to contact Laila and Ella just to know that she went to the apartment near the university we were going to. They said something about her needing to go early so she can set things up before we all move in when school starts.
Too be honest, I was kind of confused considering that we already planned out that we will all help set up the place together. When I mentioned that to Ella and Laila all they said was, "Yasmin wanted to go start on it a little earlier since classes start in 4 weeks. She said that it will take more then 4 weeks to get the place ready."
Laila also told me that we will go help her out a week or two before classes start.
Meanwhile, over the past few weeks Noah's texts has been bombarding my notifications, and surprisingly Ella didn't interfere at all or make any side comments.
Well that is until today.
It was a hot summer day and I was reading a book on my bed under my air conditioner. It was one of those days when your not in the mood to get your lazy butt anywhere. Anyways, just as I was getting to the good part of the book I got a notification on my phone, and of course I ignored it because I was too lazy to reach for it. Then after a few minutes, I got another notification, then another, and another.
When I couldn't handle it anymore, I forced myself to get out of bed and closed my book a little too forcefully. What is the point of finishing it when I couldn't read in peace? I went to pick up my phone from the chest drawer, and when I opened my phone I saw at least ten messages from Noah and Ella on the group chat their mom told Ella to make.
Noah ❤️: How r u doing 2day, beautiful?
Elmo: Alhamdllilah, I have been better.
Noah ❤️: I wasn't talking 2 u.
Elmo: U should have been more clear, & Astaghfirallah, dude u & Amal, aren't even married yet.
Elmo: Amal, u r better then this don't let him get 2 u with his fake charm. :-p
Noah ❤️: When did you get so annoying?
Elmo: When I saw your face this morning.
Ookay! This chat is getting weirder and weirder by the second.
Me: Calm down, what is up with you two?
Noah ❤️: Ella is just in a bad mood today because Daniel had to leave yesterday to the airport, and she also has to finish both semesters in the University of Florida, because in Egypt they don't like to take people in the middle of the year. She has been complaining non stop since he left.
Oh, I see. Why am I knowing this now?
Noah ❤️: She is driving me nuts.
Elmo: I am right here ya know @ Noah.
Me: On the bright side we get to spend a whole year together, & not only 6 months @ Ella.
Elmo: I know. I wasn't complaining btw, Noah is just over exaggerating.
Noah ❤️: I am not going to argue with u anymore, Ella.
Noah ❤️: Anyways. Amal, u didn't answer my question.
Me: About?
Noah <3: How r u?
This is one of the things I love about Noah. He cares a lot about people no matter what the situation is.
Me: I am doing good, Alhamdullilah.
Me: What about u?
Noah ❤️: Excellent Alhamdullilah now that I heard from u. U are a sun that makes my day brighter.
I felt my face burn up and my heart beat furiously.
Elmo: That's it! I am telling mom.
Noah ❤️: Dude, what did I do this time?
