*Niall's P.O.V*
I still wasn't quite sure what we were all doing here.
Marie had already left to go take a shower, leaving us alone around her kitchen table with her grandmother-the woman who was feverishly looking in every cabinet.
"It looks like Marie hasn't been home in days! There's almost nothing edible in here!" Her grandmother huffed, closing yet another cabinet unsuccessfully.
The boys and I exchanged a few nervous glances. Marie really hasn't been home in days and we're partially to blame for that.
The old woman suddenly stopped moving and stood up a little straighter.
"You can call me Rosie," she said.
So the boys and I all took turns going around and introducing each other to her, all smiling politely and unsuspectingly.
"I never knew Marie was interested in doing hair and makeup. I knew she always cleaned up well but, that's really it. Tell me, is she any good at her job?"
"Of course! That's why she was hired!" Liam laughed.
Rosie took a moment to laugh, and then opened Marie's pantry and began scanning through the contents.
She pulled out spaghetti and sauce and smiled happily.
"Here's something we can actually consume," Rosie rolled her eyes and rifled through different pots to find the one she wanted.
For an old lady, she never really took a moment to breathe.
"So how is she? I haven't talked to her much after her parents died and-," she suddenly stopped and covered her mouth in shock.
"Oops. I didn't mean to say that without her permission. Has she already told you?" Rosie looked alarmed.
"Yes, don't worry. She's already mentioned it to us," I reassured.
"She doesn't always show it, but Marie took their death harshly. She nearly locked herself away from the rest of society. Do you know she bought this house all by herself? She saved up and got the money her parents had left her in their will, and left her old house right away. She acts like one tough cookie, but she has a soft center," Rosie nodded as if she was confirming her own words.
So Marie has a nice side? Well she certainly hasn't displayed it very well...
Before any of us could say anything, Marie had walked into the kitchen with her arms crossed and her jaw clenched.
All I seemed to notice was how she only had a thin towel wrapped around herself, and hair was slicked back in a wet ponytail. She was nearly naked and didn't seem to even care that much. I looked over at the boys, and could tell they were all staring at Marie too.
"Grandma, what have I said about talking about me to other people?" She raised her eyebrows.
"That I shouldn't," Rosie waved her off playfully, causing Marie to roll her eyes behind her grandmother's back.
I muffled a laugh, turning my attention hesitantly back to Rosie and the pasta that she began to cook. I was absolutely starving, and secretly glad that we took the chance to eat. I don't think Marie would be too happy to hear that, though.

In a strange way, I was relieved that my grandmother was here to monitor the boys as I took a shower. That way, I knew they weren't snooping around or secretly planning something without me present.
I got out of the shower, put my hair in a ponytail, and decided on just walking downstairs in only my towel. I didn't feel like getting dressed in a regular outfit for my grandma, and then having to change into a spy-appropriate outfit when she left. That's too much of a hassle in my opinion.
