*Liam's P.O.V*

Here we all were, sitting on the couches surrounding the coffee table.

I had called everyone in here for a group discussion. We were going to sort out our problems right here, right now. How are we expected to find the codes if we can't work together as a team?

Harry and Louis were very opposed to the idea, not even wanting to be in the same room as each other. Marie, on the other hand, claimed she hated everyone and she "just wanted to go home."

"So, as the unspoken mediator of this FRIENDLY chat, let's make some rules, yeah?" I began.

Zayn and Niall, being the only other boys without a problem, nodded their heads enthusiastically. That was a start.

"No shouting, no getting physical, and no getting up and leaving this room. Is that clear?" I asked, trying to sound stern.

"Yup!" Marie exclaimed a little too loudly and sarcastically, popping the p.

I pointed my finger at her as a silent warning to hush.

She laughed and rolled her eyes at me, making me a little upset.

"So there's anger here between us. We are all upset over something, and someone should speak up and tell us what that is," I started, even though everyone already knew what 'that' really was.

"Louis's being all controlling and no one else likes it," Marie bluntly spoke.

Well, at least someone is talking. No one else seems to want to say a word.

"True," I said slowly.

I scanned the rest of the boys faces.

"Anyone else want to add anything?" I prompted.

"What Marie said," Harry huffed, leaning his back into the couch with his arms crossed.

This conversation wasn't going according to plan. We were supposed to all get along and be happy after this.

"Cut the crap everyone. Someone better friggin speak up NOW," I hissed, impatiently.

"Okay, you said no violence, right?" Niall asked, almost nervously.

"Yes," I confirmed.

"Then, well...um," Niall began.

"Spit it out!" Marie cried.

"Louis, you always act like you're the boss of us. You don't let us do what we want, and you think we're complete idiots. In all honesty, you're the idiot for underestimating us. I don't think you're a bad leader or anything," Niall quickly added, "but I feel like you should just ease up on the reins."

There was an awkward moment of silence where Louis completely stared down a frightened Niall.

"Alright! Nicely said!" I sighed a sigh of relief.

At least we were getting somewhere.

"I wouldn't think you guys were idiots if you didn't act like them," Louis said coldly.

"How do we act like idiots?" I pondered.

"Well, let's start with Harry. He ruined our whole plan by trying to rape Marie!" Louis said, raising his voice.

"Hey!" I warned, glaring at him.

Harry shifted uncomfortably in his seat. He uncrossed his arms only to tangle his hands in his curls.

"I already apologized for that!" He growled.

"You still tried and you still ruined our plans," Louis smiled, wickedly.

I could visibly see Harry's chest rise up and down faster as he began to breathe harder. His face was contorting into a look of anger, and everyone else was starting to take notice too.

Marie, who was placed between Louis and Harry on one couch-against her own will-started looking at Harry and then Louis, wondering if she might be caught in the middle of a fight.

Harry was about to stand up, but Marie forcefully pushed him down, taking everyone by surprise.

"You guys are more dramatic than some bitchy girls in high school. Shut the fuck up, shake hands, and get on with your lives. Louis, you stop controlling everyone-no one likes you as the leader. Harry, relax, will you? No need to punch Louis again," Marie demanded.

All eyes looked at Marie, who was breathing deeply herself. She looked very irritated and although tiny in frame, very strong.

"I don't care what you have to think, Marie. You just came back here. The boys and I have been together for 3 years and we've been fine," Louis retorted.

"I don't think I would use the word 'fine' to describe us," Zayn quietly said.

"Yeah," I added. "Especially if we turned out like this."

Louis looked flustered and I was actually beginning to wonder how long this fight was going to last.

"We function properly as a group, we complete our missions successfully, Simon likes us, AND we have Marie and the codes in our presence. See? We're fine," Louis explained.

"Our work may be fine Louis," Harry said his name in a disgusted tone, "but that doesn't mean the members in this group are fine."

"What are saying? Do one of you have a broken ankle or something? That's what you have to have to not be 'fine' Harry," Louis hissed back.

"Gosh! Do people's feelings not matter anymore?!" Harry cried.

Suddenly, Louis got extremely serious.

"Listen up Harry...all of you! In this kind of messy business, we shouldn't have feelings. We use people. We kill people. We kidnap people and don't FEEL anything after we do it. If you want to be an emotional baby, you should've never signed that contract with Simon. It's too late to sit around and feel sorry for yourself because you're not being treated FAIR. Too fucking bad for you. We can't back out now. Get used to it boys, because this is the life we live. You won't always be treated kindly, and you won't always be in charge. Someone needs to whip everyone in shape and maintain stability. That's MY JOB. Don't you understand?!" Louis panted, running out of breath.

There was a moment of silence as Louis's point of view sunk in. He feels like he has to be the one to keep us under control. He's putting more pressure on himself than he needed to.

"You don't have to do that, you know," Niall said softly.

"Do what?" Louis asked.

"You don't have to feel like you need to take on that responsibility. You're just making your own life harder," Niall shrugged.

"Then who'll do it?" Louis cocked an eyebrow.

"You guys are all big boys. You can handle yourself, can't you?" Marie inquired.

"Yeah," I answered for everyone.

"Then you can all help out around here," Marie continued.

"Um, I can help Louis with the times and schedules," Niall quietly offered, starting a trend.

"And next time we have to go out and buy bombs and stuff, I can go do the trading of items," Zayn said.

"I can answer calls from Simon too," I declared.

Everyone turned to look at Harry, waiting for him to say what he could help with. When nothing escaped his mouth and all he did was lean back into the couch, Marie grew impatient.

"Well go on Harry! It's your turn!" She cried.

"I guess I can be the driver the next few time we go out," Harry said in a low voice, after a few minutes went by.

"There you go! Now that everything is sorted out, I think it's about time for me to leave," Marie pursed her lips.

She went to go stand up, but Harry slammed her back down, like she had done to him.

"Let. Me. Go," she sputtered, trying to get out from underneath Harry, who had put all his weight on her.

While Marie looked totally pissed, Harry looked like he was actually enjoying himself for the first time today. Finally though, he scooted back over to his seat, but still restrained Marie with his arm. She opened her mouth to go bite him, but I stopped her.

"Marie! I thought we established that no one was getting physical here," I reminded her.

A huge frown took up most of her face, and she stopped wiggling underneath Harry's grip, but not before pointing to Harry's arm and looking back at me in disbelief.

Okay, so Harry blocking her like that may be physical, but in all fairness, she brought it on herself when she pushed Harry back down not too long ago.

"Where do you think you're going?" Louis asked.

"To get the codes and find Andy Clerk's money," Marie answered, like it was the most obvious thing in the world.

"And why do you think you're leaving alone?" Louis pressured.

"It's great that you guys are good now and all 'go team!' but I'm not for that shit. I work alone-always have, always will. They're my codes and I want to go home, shower, and change and go find the money!" Marie seethed.

"It's good to know you never planned on working as a team with us. Too bad you don't know that we...don't...fucking...care," Louis said slowly, like Marie was too dumb to comprehend.

"What am I? Friggin five you idiot?! I can hear you! I'm not deaf! I just don't like what you're saying!" Marie snapped back.

"Let's just go, yeah? Go back home and change or do whatever you want to do, and then we can find the money together. Ever hear the saying 'two brains are better than one?'" Louis stabbed.

"Yeah, I have. And it's TWO brains, not SIX brains dumbass. With too many people, we could get caught," Marie snarled.

"We'll just have to see about that," Louis pestered.

*Marie's P.O.V*

"Just take a right up here," I directed.

"You act like we've never been to your house before," Louis laughed from the back seat.

I sighed loudly, hoping he'd get the hint to shut up. When he didn't say anything more, I knew he got the message.

I didn't even want him here right now. I didn't want any of the boys here right now. Yet, they are here, all crowded in the car that Harry was currently driving to my house. I was finally going to get to shower, change and get the money...just with some unexpected guests. The boys just HAVE to tag along.

As we rounded the corner on to my street, I couldn't help but the notice the silver Mercedes that was parked in my driveway. Only one person I know drives that car.

"Shit shit shit," I repeated underneath my breath.

"What?! Who's car is that?" Harry asked.

As we pulled into my driveway, I crossed my fingers that the elderly lady standing on my porch had somehow not seen us. The way that she stood with her hand shielding her eyes from the sun, squinting at our car, I knew what I hoped for was unrealistic.

"Grandma," I said though clenched teeth.

I heard a few chuckles from the boys in the back seat, but they only angered me further. Sure my grandma didn't know what she was interrupting, but why would she chose NOW of all times to come and visit me?

I nearly swung my door open before the car came to a full stop.

"Wait here!" I ordered.

"No! I'm coming with you! I want to make sure you don't try to pull anything while we're gone," Louis replied.

"I won't! I just need to talk to my grandmother for crying out loud!" I hissed back, making sure to talk quiet enough so no one else could hear our argument right outside of the car.

"Then you can say what you need to say to her, in front of me," Louis retorted, smiling like he had won this battle.

"Marie?" I heard my grandmother call.

I frowned as I realized Louis had indeed won this battle, and I had no choice but to drag him along with me. I wasn't going to just continue to fight with him while I kept my grandmother waiting.

I gave Louis a warning look, before making my way towards her, while Louis followed behind me.

"Hi Grandma! I see you're still driving around fashionably," I said, while hugging her.

"Well of course! Now, did you really expect anything less?" She squeezed back.

My grandmother may be almost eighty and frail looking, but she can verbally attack you like there's no tomorrow. She can be vicious and snippy when she wants. Everyone used to say I'm just like her.

I laughed while Louis appeared by my side, an innocent smile painted on his face.

"Grandma, this is Louis," I said, while pointing at him.

"Very nice to meet you, Louis. Have I seen you before?" My grandmother asked, confusion laced in her tone.

"I'm from the band One Direction. You might've seen me on a magazine," Louis politely shook her hand.

"Maybe that's it," she shook back.

"Well, I was only going in to shower and change. I wasn't planning on staying here that long. Can I ask what brings you here?" I said to my grandma, hoping she would get the hint to leave.

As rude as it sounds, I'm sure we can arrange a little get together tomorrow or something. I had places to be as of right now.

"I just wanted to have lunch with the granddaughter I never see anymore! Where could you be in such a hurry to?" My grandmother questioned.

"Louis and the other members of his band have a meeting to get to," I lied.

"So what does that have to do with you?" She grilled.

"I haven't told you the news yet, have I? I got a job! I'm the new makeup artist and hair stylist for One Direction!" I fake cheered.

My grandmother looked unamused for a moment, before hugging me.

"That's great news, Marie. It really is. I just...wanted to have lunch with you and discuss a few things," she said seriously.

"Grandma, they need me. Can we talk about it tomorrow?" I pleaded.

"No," she said surprisingly sternly.

I shot a look at Louis to help me and he nodded.

"I suppose you have time to have a quick lunch," Louis checked his watch. "We probably have just an hour...at the most...to spare. That way you can eat, shower, and then we can be back on the road," Louis reasoned.

My grandmother seemed to think about it, and then nodded.

"Seems fair to me. Now invite those other boys in the car inside for lunch too. An hour is an awfully long time to be waiting in the car for," she said, and then turned on her heel, using her own set of the house key to enter my home.

I motioned for the boys to come in, and Louis quickly shot off an explanation text to the rest of the group too.

Before I stepped inside my house, I mentally prayed that this would be the quickest hour of my life.

I'm sorry for this bad filler chapter. They all got into a fight last chapter, and now it's all resolved between them in this chapter.

I also apologize for the long wait. There was a festival downtown this whole week, and my friends and I went literally EVERY SINGLE DAY of the festival, so I didn't have much time to write.

Thank you for all the reads!

IF YOU GUYS COULD PLEASE VOTE AND COMMENT A BUNCH OF THINGS (like they don't even have to make any sense) ON THIS CHAPTER, THAT WOULD BE AMAZING!
