Chapter 2

Ari's P.O.V

Me: "Please just don't ask about it Chres"

Chres: "Why not, he was beating you wasn't he?"

Me: "Please don't tell anyone Chres, don't even tell dad that you know."

Chres: "Is that what those bruises were from, him beating you?"

Me: *slowly shakes head yes*

Chres: "Why didn't you tell me?"

Me: "I didn't want you to worry."

Chres: "How long has this been going on?"

Me: "Two or thee weeks."

Chres: *begins cleaning her up* "Three weeks!?!"

Me: "Yes."

Chres: "Ari has he touched..you know...you?"

Me: "Chres look at me, I'm covered in blood and your asking if he's touched me, ....oh you mean has he raped me. Well no he hasn't."

Chres: "Good. There your all done."

Me: "Thanks Chres."

Its a few weeks later and you finally have turned 16, Chres is now 19. The beatings have stopped at least for now. Today is your first day of school, and your first day without any fresh bruises, cuts, or scrapes. You wore your black Jordan's, cut off shorts, and a black off the shoulder shirt that had swag written across it in blue, you also curled you hair. You and Chres had just left the house when he started asking questions.

Chres: "So did the beatings stop?"

Me: "Yeah at least for now."

Chres: "You doing okay, you look like some things wrong."

Me: "Nothings wrong, I would tell you if there was."

Chres: "You sure?"

Me: "Yes, now can we go?" *getting out of the car*

Chres: "Huh? Oh sure yeah."

You walk into the school thinking this is the only place your safe, other then your brother's arms, but he couldn't protect you now, all you had was yourself, you hated it. Ever since you were 3 your parents moved around a lot so you never had any friends, or any time to get used to everything, this is the longest you've been in one place ever. As you approached the school everyone instantly flocked toward Chres, just like always. I walked into the school and was looking for the main office when these three boys came up. One had an afro and a really nice smile, another one had to braids, then the last one he had blonde/brown hair, and dark brown eyes that you could just melt in. Just being a new student, I had no idea where I was going so naturally I had to ask those three guys.

Me: "Um excuse me could you tell me where the office is?"

Afro boy: "I'm guessing your new here?"

Me: "Yeah, uh the office?"

???: "Hi my name's Craig but everyone calls me Prod."

Me: "Oh hi nice to meet you. Look I really need to know where the office is."

???: "Right over there shawty *points behind her*, mine name is Ray."

Me: "Okay thanks." *goes into the office*

Secretary: "Can I help you?"

Me: "Yeah actually I just moved here and I needed to get my schedule, and my brother's also."

Secretary: "Names?"

Me: "Aria and Chresanto August."

Secretary: *hands you a paper* "Here you go honey."

Me: "Thanks so much." *leaves*

Chres: "Hey Ari did you get your schedule?"

Me: "Yes and yours, we have 1st, 3rd, 6th, and last period together. "

Chres: "Wow. So listen I know that you don't like being alone with Dad but I gotta date tonight, and its after school."

Me: "WHAT!?! Your doing what?!? Chres you know that he only beats me when your not there."

Chres: "I know but Ari please? I'll make it up to you I promise."

Me: "Ugh fine but you have to take me home first."

Chres: "I know."

(skipping to lunch)

Whew! Halfway through the day, this school isn't so bad. Well I'm on my way to lunch, I feel like somebody's following me. Oh well. I was just walking to lunch minding my own business when I got yanked into a closet.

Me: "AH! Please don't hurt me, I didn't do anything i ..."

???: *puts hand around your throat* "Shut up and listen, next time you dis me or my boys your gonna get it. It will be ten times worse then this right now." *shoves his mouth on hers* "Mmm you taste good, maybe I'll have you as a snack later." *laughs * "if you tell anyone and I mean anyone about this you're dead. Do you hear me? "

Me: " Yes. Please can I go now?"

As soon as you were let out of the closet you ran straight into Chres, Ray, and Prod.

Chres: "Hey Ari where were you, you missed lunch."

Me: "I um had to do something, sorry. "

Chres: "Are you okay, you look shaken up."

Me: "Fine, can we go now?"

Chres: "Ari we still have 3 more periods, we can't just leave. "

Me: "Since when are you the goody two shoes, before you would've already been bailing, now this "we can't just leave" stuff? Who are you and what have you done with my brother??"

Chres: "Ari what are you talking about? I'm still me."

Me: "No your not, your different."

Chres: "Anyway Ari have you met my new friends? This is Prod, and this is Ray, then the one behind you is Prince."

Me: "Prince!? *turns around*"

Prince: "Hey Ari, missed you at lunch. "

Me: "Um yeah I had something to do."

Prince: "Well maybe you can hang out with me after school."

Me: "I uh I can't I um have something to do after school. Chres please I want to go, just take me home."

Chres: "Ari my name is now Roc, we all came up with it while you were not at lunch."

Me: "Whatever Chres, I'll be in the car."

(skipping to the car)

Chres: "What's wrong with you Aria?"

Me: " Nothing Chresanto I just want to go home."

Chres: "Chresanto? Since when are you calling me by my full name? "

Me: "Since when am I Aria?" *says with attitude*
