Sodapop Imagine

You dove for the phone, you were in the kitchen making coffee at 2 AM because you had to stay awake and study for a test tomorrow. You didn't want it to wake up your parents with all the banging you were already making.

"Hello?" You whispered into the phone

"Y/N! Pony and Johnny are missing!" Soda said frantically 

"Soda! Calm down!" You whisper yelled "Now what happened?"

"Pony came home late and Darry got mad at him and well...He hit him-But he didn't mean it! He ran off and the police just found a dead Soc in the lot... He had been stabbed... I don't know much more but my baby brother is missing and a soc is dead... I'm worried sick y/n..." Soda started to cry 

"Soda? Soda! Where are you now?" You asked 

"My house...Why?" He sniffled 

"Don't move, i'll be right there." You hung up before he could object

You downed the whole cup of coffee and in a second and tip toed upstairs and got dressed. You quickly but quietly snuck into your parents room and grabbed the keys off their nightstand. You were at the Curtis's with in ten minutes. You burst through the front doors and there was a police officer talking with Darry and Soda was sobbing on the couch with Steve and Two trying to calm him down. Soda jumped up once he saw you.

"y/n!" He sniffled as he pulled you close "They're gone!" 

"It's okay, ssh, Soda, calm down, we'll find em." You say 

You didn't know for sure and wondered yourself if they were gonna be okay. You pulled Soda into his and Pony's room and sat down on his bed and leaned against the wall.

"Come here." You say 

Soda was a mess, he layed his head on your lap and looked up at you with his bloodshot eyes. His eyes seamed even brighter and beautiful when he was crying. You wiped away his tears and rubbed his soft blonde hair. His breaths where short as he cried and cried, you leaned down and kissed his forehead. No you weren't a couple but you were best friends and hugged each other and kissed each others face's when you were upset.

"Ssh," You whispered "go to sleep, I won't leave you." 

Soda sniffled and put a hand on your cheek.

"y/n, your amazing, how did I get wound up with such a beautiful soul." Soda said 

You smiled and blushed a deep scarlet, placing your hand on his wrist you rubbed the back of his hand with your thumb.

"I love you." Soda said 

It took you a split second to realize that Soda your best friend was the one you loved. You leaned down and kissed him. He kissed back, your lips worked in a soft, slow rhythm for a solid minute when you realized...He had a girlfriend! You pulled away quickly.

"Sandy!" You say with wide eyes

Soda sat up and scratched the back of his neck.

"About her..." Soda said 

He told you about Sandy and her fooling around with others and getting knocked up and sent away.

"Soda..." You say softly

Soda looked at the ground again, close to tears.

"You okay?" You whisper 

Soda looked up at you and opened his arms.

"Give me a hug and I will be." 

You hugged him and you both fell asleep in each others arms.
