Hanging up the phone I lay back on my bed and release the breath I didn't realize I was holding.

"Well? Are you just going to lay there like a potato or tell me what happened!" Evaline's excited face stills and she produces a wicked grin. "If you don't start talking I will tickle you."

I roll my head to the side to look at her. "You wouldn't dare." As she begins to inch closer to me on the bed I roll to my left, going a bit to far in my escape I land on the wood floor with a thump. "Owwwwwww Evaline look what you made me do."

Evaline is practically in tears laughing one arm slung over the edge of the bed. I walk around to the opposite side of the bed giving a small push and her delicate balance on the edge of the bed is thrown off as she too lands on the floor. She's quiet for a second but then she starts laughing too.

Once we both calm down I describe to her the phone call with Caroline.

"Scarlett that's amazing! I told you this was going to be your new job and per normal I was right." I smile and nod at her claim.

"I'll be right back alright I think this deserves some wine and I just happen to have a bottle." I walk downstairs with Julia walking behind me. As I walk down the hall I notice Evaline's bag in the hall, it's not her normal bag but a duffle bag. Oh no. I not only grab the wine but a bottle of whiskey and some snacks.

Walking back upstairs I find Evaline on the bed. She's wiping away her tears as she hears me approach and I walk in putting her duffle bag down on the floor and putting all of the food and drinks on my dresser.

Without saying anything I wrap Evaline in a hug and she just cries. I have a feeling that this had to do with her boyfriend.  And after downing pretty much everything we are both fairly calm and we talk it out. I was right and a huge argument that sent her here.

"I'm sorry Scarlett I know this isn't how you wanted to spend your night."

"Aw love it's alright." I stand up wobbling a bit and clean up the mess we made within a few hours.

We decided that because of this argument she would stay here for as long as she needed, especially since I will be traveling. Evaline also volunteered to take care of Julia for me. Honestly I will miss them two the most.

---Sorry for the shorter part a bit of writers block and I'm trying to move the plot forward the next chapter will be longer and more of my normal style---
