Chapter 4: Unexplainable

"Um, I always wondered why you look, well the way you look," said Papyrus.
Mettaton looked at him in shock. Mettaton turned off the tv and looked at Papyrus.

"Papyrus..." Mettaton drawled.
Papyrus looked straight at Mettaton.
"I can't really explain it," said Mettaton.
"You don't have to- I mean-"
"You want an answer don't you Papyrus?" asked Mettaton in a low voice.
Papyrus nodded.

"Well I always wanted to have a body since I'm a ghost, I did have legs or arms or even an actually body. So I went on a website and meet this girl that would help me with my problem. She told me she was a scientist, and that she will be glad to give me a body. At first I was like a rectangle. Just a plain robot. I wanted something new, some tung that humans would wear or look like. The scientist gave me an upgrade, when you filo my switch I become Mettaton EX! That scientist was Alphys, and that is how we meet and became friends. I never regretted my decisions. But the only part I regret is leaving my cousin, Napstablook, behind. Now why do I look more like a female you are probably asking. Well, I just wanted to look good and feel confident about myself. Becoming something handsome or beautiful fills we with confidence. Yet still question about how I function with emotions..."

Mettaton sighed.

"Sorry I asked that Mettaton, I feel pretty stupid," said Papyrus.
"No Papyrus, it is fine really, you were curious and that is a good thing," said Mettaton.

"And there is something else I want to say too," continued Papyrus.
"What?"

"When I first saw you on the television, I was amazed how pretty and cool you were. Now that I am finally meeting you in real life made me cherish you even more. Very time I see you, I am happy and I want it to be like that forever! Also they way you like to make pasta as much as I do! What I am trying to say is, Mettaton, I love you with undying passion!" announced Papyrus.

Papyrus leaned forward for a kiss. Mettaton was shocked and stand still. Papyrus's stopped and backed away. There was a moment of silence. He got up and said nervously, "I'm sorry, I should go now".
Mettaton saw Papyrus walk towards the door.

"Papyrus wait!" hollered Mettaton.
Papyrus stopped and turned around.
"Let's just talk about this okay?" Mettaton said calmly.

Papyrus sighed and walked towards to Mettaton. He slouched down next to Mettaton.

"Look Papyrus, I know you like- I mean love me but, I'm sorry Papyrus I am not into you. I don't love you but I do like you as a friend," explained Mettaton.
Papyrus sighed and said,"Okay Mettaton, I understand. Sorry I made this friendship awakward".

"No no darling, not at all. At least you are being honest with me this time," said Mettaton.

"Yeah...can I...just" whispered Papyrus.
"Anything you want or need sweetie, I'll do it. I promise".
"No no it's fine".

Mettaton knew exactly what Papyrus needed. Mettaton leaned forward and hugged Papyrus. Papyrus blushed. He let go and looked at Papyrus.
"There, is that what you wanted?" asked Mettaton.

Papyrus nodded. His eye sockets were tearing up. Mettaton pulled Papyrus onto his metal chest, Papyrus was crying on it. Papyrus rapped his arms around Mettaton's waist. Mettaton was stroking Papyrus's skull saying,"There there, everything is going to be okay".

Papyrus let go of Mettaton and got up. Papyrus went by the door and opened it. It was still pouring rain.

"Bye Mettaton," said Papyrus with tears still streaming down his cheek bones.
Papyrus closed the door. Mettaton ran towards the door and opened it. He was too late, Papyrus ran away. Mettaton quickly got a coat and ran outside. Mettaton started running in puddles yelling, "Papyrus!"

Mettaton ran and ran, no sight of Papyrus. Mettaton went on his knees and said, "Papyrus I'm sorry I hurt your feelings, I'm sorry I crushed your dreams just please, don't leave!"

"So, you came back for me," said a voice.
Mettaton had tears in his eyes. He looked up and say that it was Papyrus. He jumped up and hugged Papyrus.

"Oh Papyrus, I am so glad you are okay," said Mettaton.
Papyrus giggled and said,"Wow you do really like me,"

"Come on Papyrus I can't stand in the rain that long".
Mettaton and Papyrus ran back into Mettaton's mansion. Papyrus was soaking wet.

"Oh Papyrus darling! You all wet! Quick let's go in my room!" announced Mettaton.
Papyrus nodded and they both ran into Mettaton's room.

"Okay, now I always had the perfect outfit for you to wear! I brought it out just incase," said Mettaton handing Papyrus black leggings and a red sweater. Papyrus took the clothes and thanked Mettaton. Papyrus took of his soaking boots and gloves.
Mettaton just started at Papyrus.

"Mettaton? Why are you still here?" questioned Papyrus.
"Uh! Oh, it's okay Papyrus pretend I am not even here," said Mettaton.

Papyrus took of his costume showing Papyrus's rib cage. Mettaton was now staring at Papyrus's rib cage. Since when did Papyrus look so attractive?! Thought Mettaton.

Mettaton just shrugged.
Papyrus was blushing. He said,"Hey Mettaton, can you look away for one minute? I don't like naked in front of people you know".

Mettaton looked up at Papyrus's reddish face and said, "Right, I understand. We all need our privacy don't we."

Mettaton turned around facing away from Papyrus. Papyrus took the bottom of his costume off, showing off his pelvis. Papyrus quickly but on the black leggings and sweater.

"Okay, you can look now Mettaton," stated Papyrus.

Mettaton turned around and saw Papyrus in his new outfit. Mettaton gasps, "Darling your are rocking that sweater more than me!"
