A Tale For Two

Chapter 7: SANSational

Papyrus, Mettaton, Alphys and Undyne were still watching Mew Mew Kissy Cutie 3.

Mettaton yawned, "Didn't you guys see this already?"

Alphys shook her head.

Mettaton shrugged and continued watching the movie. Papyrus was fascinated by the bright colors.

"This game has very bright colors! I like it!" announced Papyrus.

Alphys and Undyne gave Papyrus a look. Both Undyne and Alphys giggled.

"Oh Papyrus, I put your clothes in the dryer. I-I should get them out now," said Alphys getting up.

Alphys went to go get Papyrus clothes out of the dryer.

It was almost 8:00 pm.

Mettaton heard someone knocking on the door. He got up and asked who is it.

"It's your pal," said the voice in the speaker.

Mettaton was confused. He was curious and opened the door.

It was Sans.

"Hello, Sans," grunted Mettaton.

"Hey, there good lookin'. Nice to meet ya too," said Sans with a wider grin on his face.

"Listen, what do you want," questioned Mettaton.

"Well I'm actually here for Papyrus. It's time to go home."

"What but I thought he was sleeping over-"

"Yeah well. I changed my mine. Oh and
sorry for the misunderstanding before."

"Mettaton who is at the door?" shouted Alphys.

"Sans! He is here for Papyrus!" replied Mettaton.

Papyrus got out of the bathroom from changing into his "battle body" costume.

Papyrus walked over to the door and saw Sans.

"Hello Sans! I forgive you from earlier! Turns out I misunderstood you!" said Papyrus.

"No problem bro. Now come on. We need to go home and go to bed. Don't wanna miss your bedtime story don't you?" said Sans.

"Wowie! A bed time story!" cheered Papyrus.

Sans nodded with a grin on his face.

Papyrus looked at Mettaton and saw he had a plank expression. Papyrus had an idea.

"I got it! Sans, how about you stay over here with me, Mettaton, Alphys and Undyne! It will be a huge sleepover!" cheered Papyrus once more.

"Um, no thank you. I'm sure Sans has other pl-"

"Yeah, that's a good idea pap" interrupted Sans.

"Oh goody!" cheered Papyrus.

"What but- ugh whatever," said Mettaton.

Mettaton moved out of the way to let Sans in. Sans went inside and looked around. Alphys looked over at Sans.

"Oh Sans, thank goodness you are here! I need to tell you something," said Alphys.

"Huh, oh heya Alphys. Orange- you glad to see me," joked Sans.

"SAAAAAAAAAANS!" shouted Papyrus.

Alphys got up and said with a straight face,"Sans, this is serious".

"Hehe, right." said Sans nervously.

Sans walked towards Alphys, and Alphys got up. They both started walking to the lab Alphys works.

"We're you two going?" questioned Undyne.

"It is very important Undyne, it is also privet," replied Alphys.

Alphys and Sans disappeared into the lab.
Undyne was confused and so was everyone else.

Alphys closed the doors to the lab as Sans sat down in a chair.

"I'm actually really glad you came. I just improved it and now it actually works," cheered Alphys.

Sans was silent. He didn't know what to say or think, he just sat there.

"I know you are not ready to see this but, we have to be brave," sighed Alphys.

Alphys walked over to the machine she had built. She started typing codes to make the machine work.

"L-let's start with entry 4, I found that one the most interesting. I translated it but I think you can understa-"

"Alphys, I don't want to see or hear this right now. I just want a happy time with Papyrus right now instead of hearing these entries from, him," said Sans.

Alphys looked at Sans and nodded.
"I understand, y-your not ready," said Alphys as she shut off the machine.

Sans got up and lifted his head up.

"Now let's go back and forget we were even here," said Sans as he walks by the door.

Alphys was confused, she couldn't understand Sans's pain. Alphys walked out of the lab with Sans. Undyne could see the both of them in a distance.

"What the hell was that about?" asked Undyne.

"Ah, noting really. Just nerdy stuff," said Sans.

"Nerd stuff? What kind of nerd stuff?" asked Undyne.

"Ah you know, science stuff you won't understand".

Papyrus saw Sans about to sit down on the couch until Papyrus said,"Sans! Undyne and everyone else! How about we play a game in a circle! Like what friends do on sleepovers!" cheered Papyrus.

"Sure ok," said Sans.

"Okay," said Undyne and Alphys.

"Why not," sighed Mettaton.

"Wowie! How about let's play truth or dare, that's what it says in the book of MTT: how to throw a perfect sleepover!" cheered Papyrus.

Alphys turned of the off the tv and went where Papyrus was on the floor. Undyne, Sans and Mettaton all went were Papyrus was. They all sat in a circle.

"Wowie! This is great already!" said Papyrus.

Papyrus was sitting next to Mettaton, Mettaton was sitting next to Sans, Sans was sitting next to Alphys, Alphys was sitting next to Undyne and Undyne was sitting next to Papyrus.

"So um, what are we playing exactly?" asked Mettaton.

"Playing truth or dare!" announced Papyrus.

"Oh boy," whispered Alphys.

"Okay I guess I'll go first! Mettaton, truth or dare?" said Papyrus.
