Chapter Five: The Dare For Redemption

(Y/N) and her grandpa have arrived in America and was shifting in to their new apartment. It was a beautiful and large terrace house with a backyard.

(Y/N) moved her things to her room. It was huge, and just then, (Y/N) started to feel lonely and homesick. She started missing her mom, her dad, Trunks, and Goten.

Wait... what?!

She shook her head as she brushed the thought of Goten out of her head. He had upset her, and why was she thinking about him?

As she was placing her final set of clothes in her closet, she felt a strong ki level.

Could it be Trunks? she thought to herself as she rushed outside.

Her room had a balcony and was very windy. Once she stepped outside, her eyes widened in shock. Immediately, she wished she had never come outside. Levitating there in mid-air was Goten himself.

"Hi (Y/N)," he said cheerfully with his signature big smile.

"Uh... hey..." (Y/N) said, scooting away slightly as he floated down in front of her.

"Listen," Goten said apologetically, "I'm sorry for not listening to what you had to say last week. And I'm sorry for ditching you like that."

(Y/N) folded her arns and glared at him. Did he actually think an apology was enough to cover up his mistake? Time and time again, he had always commited a stupid wrongdoing, and she always forgived him easily.

"Friends?" he asked hopefully.

"No," she answered firmly.

"But (Y/N)-chan..." he whined and did that sad pouty face that always made you give in to him.

However, this time, she decided not to give in.

"No," she repeated, more firmly this time, "You've always made me upset, and I always forgive you too easily."

"Would a punishment fix it?" Goten asked hopefully.

(Y/N) furrowed her eyebrows together and stayed like that for a few moments before she eased up and smirked.

"Fine," she said, "I dare you to run around the street in your underwear."

Goten's eyes widened as he said, "Y-you can't be serious!"

"Oh yes I am," she said, smirking.

Five minutes later, Goten and (Y/N) were out in the streets. (Y/N) was standing there with her arms crossed and a sly smirk on her face while Goten was shaking uncontrollably in his underwear.

"Stop shaking!" she said, "It's not even winter yet!"

"B-but I'm s-scared!" Goten whined, "I've never done this before!"

"That's why it's called a dare," she answered happily, "Now do it or we will not be friends again."

This should be interesting, she thought to herself.

Goten gulped and walked down the street slowly. People were either staring at him in disgust or whispering to one another. He was blushing darkly as he walked on, determined to be friends with (Y/N) again.

After Goten had conpleted the dare, he walked back to (Y/N). He was still in his underwear, and she was laughing hysterically. Once she saw him, she wiped away her tears from the crying.

"Are we friends now?" he asked again.

"Of course we are," she answered with a smile.

She went up to him and embraced him. People were still staring, but she did not care. He was taken aback at first, but he hugged back.
