Chapter Fifteen: Third Wheeler

(Y/N) walked into Math class, still feeling as ecstatic as ever. She could still hardly believe Goten had kissed her.

Meanwhile, Dan was silently raging. How dare that little shit kiss his crush? He was planning to use his first kiss as well as hers for her! And now that he had kissed her, the chance was gone. He balled his fists and made a silent and solemn promise to himself to get revenge. But he would have to wait. Everyone knows revenge is a dish served best when all the vitriol and whatever whatnot was collated together nicely.

The bell rang, signaling the start of lunch. (Y/N), who was beginning to get hungry in the middle of Math class, let out a sigh of relief as she retrieved her wallet.

"Let's go," Dan said, grabbing her hand and leading her out of the classroom possesively, a dark aura surrounding him.

"Okay...?" the confused girl said.

He led her to the canteen and found a spot for them and their friends.

"Wait here," he said, "I'll help you get your food too."

"Oh. Thanks," she said and gave him a grin.

His cheeks started to flush a light shade of pink. Damn her smile was cute.

Quickly, he turned and made his way to the queue before she could see his blushing face.

"Hey (N/N)!"

Evangeline walked over with a grin and wave, along with another girl called Alice and a boy by the name of Phillip. Both of them were friends with Dan and (Y/N) as well.

"Hi," the (H/C)-haired girl said with a smile.

"Where's Dan?" Alice asked.

"He went to get some food for me and himself," (Y/N) answered casually.

"Aww! He's such a - " Evangeline began, before Phillip elbowed her in the ribs.

"Well, we'd better get our food too," Alice said quickly, grabbing the blonde (Evangeline) and ravenette (Phillip) by the shoulders, ushering them away before they could spill the beans.

Dan soon returned with both his and her food, with Evangeline, Alice and Phillip behind him. They sat down and began eating and talking as well, the usual banter.

"Ne, Dan," (Y/N) said, swallowing a spoonful of ramen, "Is there anyone you like?"

Dan's cheeks flushed red as he almost choked on his burger, before he swallowed whatever he had in his mouth and asked, "W-why you do ask?"

"I don't know," the girl answered with a slight shrug, "And don't you deny it! You're blushing!"

Evangeline began to nudge the boy in the ribs and wiggle her eyebrows.

"Alright, fine. I do," he said while suddenly becoming interested in his half-eaten burger.

"Really?" (Y/N) said as her eyes sparkled with interest in such a way that flowers and glitter could be visualized around her, similar to shojo manga and animes, "Who is it? Do I know her? What does she look like? Is she from our school?"

"Yes, you know her," Dan answered, the blush still evident in his cheeks while staring at his burger, "And she's from our school."

"Who's she?" the excited girl asked, practically jumping up and down in her seat.

The blonde looked up and locked his sea blue eyes with her (E/C) ones in silence before answering.

"It's you."
