I found myself in the kitchen at noon with Tia on the counter. We decided we were going to bake a cake and make lunch for everyone. As I grabbed all the ingredients for our cake, Tia was rambling. "This is going to be the best cake ever. And its going to have three layers. Louis showed me a picture of your cake from last night, I saw a lot of pictures," Tia's babble was going on and on as I grabbed pans and cake mix and eggs and oil. We were making it from a box, well, several boxes actually. "I know your cake was four layers and we're only doing three but it will still be great, right?"

"It will be better than a four layer cake." I told her and her grin spread across her entire face.

"Thats what I thought too." She told me. "So what do we do first?"

Our cake wasn't very sturdy. The bottom layer was fine, the second layer was kind of sliding off the first, and the third layer was almost off the cake. It was very lopsided.

Tia and I were laughing when I looked at the doorway and saw six boys and two girls staring at us. "What is that?" Louis asked as he was the first one through the door.

"Alix's birthday cake. Duh." Tia told him crossing her arms over her chest. I took my phone out and handed it to Louis.

"Will you take a picture of us with our masterpiece?" I heard someone scoff at us but couldn't put it to a face so I just glared in that general direction before looking back at Louis.

"Sure." He took my phone and stepped back a couple steps while I went beside the counter with Tia next to me on it and our cake between us. We both smiled as Louis took the picture.

As the flash went off and we heard the clicking noise, the top layer fell off and landed on the floor. Tia leaned over the counter staring down at it and my face was a cross between laughing and my jaw dropping open. I'm pretty sure another picture was taken of us and then Sarah walked into the room and started laughing.

"What happened in here?" Sarah was amused and not angry.

"We made a cake!" Tia replied very excitedly looking up at Sarah. She looked back down at the floor as her next thought came out, "I think the cake didn't want to be three layers though," she looked back up at Sarah. "The top layer fell while we were taking a picture." Sarah chuckled a little as Tia giggled.

"Well I think its an excellent cake." Sarah smiled at both of us and Tia and I looked at each other grinning.

"We made lunch too!" Tia was half shouting as she climbed off the counter to go look at the chicken nuggets and french fries we made. Niall walked over and stole a fry off the tray.

"These are excellent chips," Niall spoke and looked down to Tia. She was giggling.

"Those aren't chips silly. They're french fries." Tia was laughing at the Irish boy as he grinned back at her.

"Over in the UK we call 'em chips."

"But," she started walking over to our snack cabinet and grabbing a bag of plain chips, "then what are these?" She asked and handed the bag over to Niall.

"These are crisps."

"Thats silly." Tia told him and giggled again.

"A lot of words are different here and its silly to us because we've grown up in the UK."

"What else is different?" Tia asked and tilted her head to one side.

"How about I tell you after we eat lunch?" Niall told her and she smiled.
