Yui's Pov
~A few minutes after arriving from school~
I was in my room when I heard a strange melody echoing in the hallways of the mansion. I was pretty curious so I decided to follow it.
"Come little children I'll take thee away into a land of enchantment ... Come little children the time's come to play here in my garden of shadows"
The melody became clearer as I got closer. I noticed that it was a little girl who was singing.
The song stopped when I came near an old room that had a sky blue door. A sign that said KEEP OUT glistened in red. Knowing this is one of those rooms where I'm not supposed to enter, I decided to leave.
"Open the door, Onee-san... Open it!!" A small voice called out to me. I was compelled to turn back to the door and open it. I slowly walked in and flicked the switch.
Once the lights were on, I immediately knew it was a little girl's room. The interior was decorated in ocean blue with white bunnies hopping across the walls. The bed was king sized with baby blue sheets. Glass doors opposite the bed lead to a balcony. A book shelf was seated at the left side of the room with a desk next to it. A Victorian dresser had handmade jewelry and wilted flower crowns on top of the drawers.
As I continued to walk into the room, I noticed fresh white irises laid beside a picture frame on a mahogany treasure chest sitting at the foot of the bed.
I walked closer and saw that the frame held a photo of a girl with light platinum hair and diamond blue eyes. I spotted a name written in black cursive at the back and read it.
Kirra M.
"Kirra? Who's she?" I asked myself.
"What are you doing here?!" An angry voice yelled. I shrieked then turned around to see Ayato glaring at me.
"A-Ayato" I stuttered as I let go of the picture.
"What are you doing here, Yui? Can't you read the sign?" He said in an accusatory tone.
"Ayato... Who's Kirra? And why is this room kept locked?" I asked him. Ayato just looked down.
I wonder what happened...
I heard a haughty laugh resonate from the other side of the room. "Look at Little Bitch-chan. She's curious to know who Kirra-chan is" Laito said as he appeared sitting on the bed which made Ayato furious.
"Laito... Who's Kirra?" I asked again only this time to Laito.
"Hmm... Too curious... You really wanna know who little Kirra-chan is?" He asked.
I gave a small but insistent nod.
Laito smirked as he grabbed something from his pocket. He held up a locket by a short, broken but elegant faded gold chain. The pendant glowed softly as the bright light hit it.
"This locket and this room used to belong to our little hime Kirra-chan... She was our first bride" He told me.
She was their first bride?
"Kirra-chan was our favourite bride! Right, Teddy?" Kanato said as he appeared sitting next to Laito hugging his teddy.
"What happened to her?" I asked.
The triplets looked away from me, the exception, Kanato, as he silently whispered to his Teddy. I could feel tension in the air. Everything was quiet. Not a sound or noise dared interrupt the monotonous song of silence. It was until I heard a deep sigh from Ayato that shattered the heavy feeling of dread.
