(Himeko's Dress)

Himeko's POV

"Hurry up! I have a lot of stores I wanna see with my two lovely daughters!" Mama said sounding childish as Yukina and I kept tailing her.

"Yes, Mama!" We both said and followed her into a small boutique.

"Oh, if it isn't Lady Yukari, little Yukina and White Iris-sama" the store owner said using one of the names the fox spirits call me as a sign of respect...

"Ah! If it isn't my favourite noblewoman, Miss Akane. I see that your new shop is going well" Mama said.

"It is, my Lady. A lot of costumers have been buying my products and so far it's going well" she said smiling.

"That's good. I'm glad it's going well"

"Oh my Lady, today is a free makeover day and if you want one of your beautiful daughters to try a new look, I'd be happy to call my crew" Miss Akane said as I grew shock and was about to evade a situation I would rather not be in when...

"Himeko! You'll be the first to try a new look! Okay, sweet heart?"

"Yes, Mother" I mumbled as two young men grabbed hold of me and placed me on the worlds most uncomfortable chair.

Well this could be worse...

"Now White Iris-sama, what hairstyle would you like my boys to do? Please choose" Miss Akane said while giving me a magazine with a collage of outrageous hairstyles.

I take back what I said. This is the worst...

I sighed and tried to find the most socially acceptable hairstyle. I pointed at a girl who looked like Miku Hatsume with her long twin tails. The boys looked over and nodded. They started doing my hair. I would have chosen a better hairstyle from the magazine but I decided on a simpler one.

"My Lady, may I do your nails please? I'm Shizuka Akane, by the way" the daughter of Miss Akane said. I nodded in reply then pointed at the colorless nail polish.

After a while, the makeover ended with one of Miss Akane's men tying a blood red ribbon on my hair. They then turned the chair to make me face Mama and Yukina. Mama looked at me, at a loss for words, then tackled me into a hug.

"Oh, my sweet sweet daughter! You look so much prettier than you can imagine. And the make-up on your face is stunning" she told me as Yukina giggled at the sight of Mama mollycoddling me.

We thanked Miss Akane, her daughter, and her men for their service and made our way to the exit.

We went to other stores as well, buying luxuries like clothes and accessories. We also stopped to buy some food and then continued roaming around until we came upon a shop that sold paintings.

I was impressed by this shop owner's amazing art. I was mesmerized with everything until I caught sight of a stunning painting of a young girl with soft silver hair and striking crystal blue eyes.

"Ah! I see you have eyes for that portrait, young Lady" the shop owner said catching my attention.

"Yes, I do, sir. It is a lovely painting. Although, I can't help but notice that she resembles me" I said. The old man chuckled then motioned me to sit beside him.

"That little girl was a human. She was the Sakamaki princes' best friend. She was an angelic girl. They said everyone adored and loved her... Some even say she might be a descendant of an angel with eyes like that. But something happened and, as cruel as fate can be, she was killed. No one found her killer and as result, it caused a hostile quarrel between the princes and the girl's brothers"

"Such a sad story"

I sat as customers went in and out as he relayed stories from the King's servants that she was the one who changed the Sakamaki princes' lives and made them happy. Shame on that one being, who had killed the innocent, for wounding the hearts of those who held a purity most dear.

"So young Lady, would you like to buy one of my paintings?" the old man asked.

I thought for a moment and nodded.

"I would like to have that one if you don't mind, good sir" I said pointing at the painting of the Sakamaki brothers best friend.

"A marvelous choice, my Lady--I knew you'd pick that. Thank you for buying my greatest masterpiece" he said as he wrapped up the painting and gave it to me after I paid.

I went for the shop's door until I stopped and looked back at the gentle old man.

"Something wrong, my Lady?"

"I was wondering about the name of your painting. You haven't told me yet"

He smiled. "My Lady, it is now your painting. I think you should name it... I never thought of a title for it myself but I'm sure you will"

"I see... I'll make sure it will be a beautiful one" I said as I walked out of the store only to be greeted by my sister.

"Yukina, what the-"

"Onee-san! Onee-san! They're here!" she yelled cutting me off mid-sentence.

"Who, Yukina?"

"Natsuki and Satsuki! They're here looking for you!" she said rather loudly as she dragged me to where two men riding cream and chocolate horses can be seen.

"White Iris princess... Karl Heinz sent us here to bring you this message" Natsuki said giving me a foot long of rolled up paper.

It was a new mission. And by the ink blotches all over the parchment, I can tell Karl Heinz wrote this himself. This must be important. I looked up at Natsuki and Satsuki and I nodded.

"When will I leave?" I asked.

"Tomorrow" they both said.

"There is something you should know too" Natsuki said as he looked at Satsuki.

Satsuki gave me an apologetic look and grabbed another letter from his pocket. He then handed it to me for me read. It contained one of the most shocking news in my life.

"I have brothers?!"

"You'll be living with them while on your mission, Himeko-chan. Have a nice day" Satsuki said as he rode off with his brother back to the vampire kingdom.

I was still stunned about the news of having brothers that I forgot I was also supposed to live with them. I started to wonder what was going on inside Karl-sama's brain that made him think I shouldn't have the right to know about my brothers until now.

"Sweetheart" I heard mother's voice. I looked at her with a sad face as she placed her hands on mine taking hold of them.

"I think it's time for you to go home"

"O-Of course... Thank you for today, mother" I said bringing back a cheery smile on my face.

"No need to thank me, dear. Now, let's go... You'll be going on a mission again. I will tell Stefan about what happened today" she said as she grabbed my hand and took me home.

Mama and Yukina waved good-bye as I closed the door.

I prepared myself for bed and placed the my new painting next to my window.

"My brothers" I said to myself as I tear open the wrapper and took a look at the painting and smiled.

Aoi Tenshi...

I fall on my bed and not soon after, I was already dreaming.
