Chapter 12

Daniel's pov

Joey and I were sitting close together in the backseat of his mothers car. I looked over at him and he was nervously playing with his hands, I grabbed one of them and put it under our legs so his mother wouldn't see. He looked at me and I smiled at him reassuringly.

I looked forward and noticed joeys mother glaring at us through the mirror, she caught my eye and looked away quickly

Jm: so um.. how long have you guys been friends?

D: a little over a week

I said quickly

Jm: oh ok... what did you guys do last night?

She asked looking at us through the rear view mirror

J: Danny meet Nicole. And then after that we went to sleep

Jm: oh.. I didnt see Nicole, where was I when she was here

She asked in a confused tone

J: passed out on the couch

He replied quietly looking down at his lap. I squeezed Joey's hand lightly and rubbed my thumb over his knuckles, he looked up at me and smiled

Jm: oh

She said quietly as she pulled into the church parking lot

Joey's pov

Daniel and I followed my mom into the church walking close together. We trailed behind her as she walked to the sanctuary, she turned around and gave us a dirty look when she saw how close me and Daniel were. I frowned and looked down at the ground

Jm: I know you dont want to sit in church so go to that room that you and Shane always sit in

I nodded my head still looking down as I quickly walked down the hall and into the room. Daniel walked in and I closed the door behind him, I stood in the middle of the room with my arms around myself

Daniel wrapped his arms around my waist and layed his head on my shoulder

D: baby, what's wrong?

J: my mom. I'm sorry about how she is acting around us

I said as a tear feel down my cheek and a quiet whimper left my mouth. He turned me Around and looked into my eyes wiping the tear off my cheek

D: I hate how she makes you so sad, I never ever want to see you sad

He explained pulling me into his chest

J: I love you so so much

D: I love you too

He replied kissing my head

D: can I ask you something

I nodded and looked up at him

J: anything

D: will you move in with me

A huge smile spread on my face as I nodded excitingly. I placed my lips on his and we shared a loving kiss

J: of course I will

D: I love you

J: I love you too

He placed his lips back on mine and our lips moved together perfectly as we stood holding each other
