Chapter 8

Daniel's pov

Im driving down the street by myself on the way to enroll myself into the same school that joey goes to. I want to suprise him on monday. I turn into the parking lot for the school and park in a space close to the front.

I get out of my car and start walking to the entrance. When i get into the school I see a women sitting at a little window, I walk up and she looks at me with a smile

W: hello how may I help you

D: Im here to enroll myself at this school

W: ok, do you have a parent or guardian to fill out the needed papers

She said looking at me with a questioning look on her face

D: um no im emancipated, my parents kicked me out about a year ago so I had to take care of myself

W: oh ok well im sorry. Ill get you the papers and ill get the principal to show you around the school

I nodded and she walked back into a room. A few moments past and she came out with papers in her hand and a women im guessing is the principal following behind her

W: here are the papers you need to fill out and this is our principal Mrs. Carter

Mrs. Carter put her hand out for me to shake it, I do and smile at her politely

Mrs.C: hello im Mrs. Carter, and your name is

D: my name is Daniel, Daniel Preda

Mrs. C: its nice to meet you daniel and i hope you love your time at Lincoln highschool

She says as i go through all the papers signing where i need to sign. I finished signing the papers as i felt my phone buzz in my pocket

D: is it ok if I check this

I ask trying not to be rude. They both nod and i pull my phone out to see a text from none other than joey

(Daniel = italics; joey = bold)

Hey baby, where are you?

Its a suprise for you on Monday.

Another suprise?

Yup, now i have to go but Ill be home in a few hours and then you can come over and we can cuddle

Ok sounds good Ill miss you

A smile formed on my face as i looked back up at Mrs. Carter

Mrs. C: was that your girlfriend

D: umm no that was my boyfriend

I said correcting her. An embarrassed look formed fast on her face and i chuckled quietly

Mrs. C: oh im sorry

D: its ok

Mrs. C: are you ready for a tour of the school

I nodded and for the next hour we walked around as she showed me the classrooms, the gym, the cafeteria, the auditorium, the swimming pool, the track, and all the other different area's of the school.

Mrs. C: so what do you think of Lincoln highschool

D: its amazing but i have be getting home

Mrs. C: ok ill see you on monday Mr. Preda

D: you too mrs. Carter

I waved bye as i walked out of the school and to my car. I got in and drove home
