The Night Before

CHAPTER 7

Nancy's POV:

So,now that I have started working among the corporates, I have acquainted myself with this concept of "TGIF" Thank God it's Friday.
After leaving the office I headed for home.

On my way back it was cloudy and felt as if it would start to drizzle any time soon. But I cared a little about getting wet as I was in my Beetle,the unique creation by Volkswagen.
I love my car so much,although dad does not....
He insisted me on having a Mercedes but considering the traffic constraint I rejected his offer.

Coming back to the weekend,
Nicholas and Veronica have planned an eventful weekend for the three of us.
Let me tell you ,these two girls know me in and out.
I confide into them anything and everything.

After I reached home, my phone rang
And it was Veronica. "Heyyyy  Nancy",she almost shouted through the microphone. I could almost feel her enthusiasm and  I too was excited to hear her voice after ages." So all set for tomorrow and the day after?",she asked me."Yes,baby girl,looking forward to meet you soon,its been a real long time now that we have enjoyed".
"Yes ,OK sleep now. See you tomorrow and don't be late".
"Look who's talking", I replied promptly to tease her and started laughing.
"Ok Ok Sorry,was just kidding. I have become punctual now,adopting the typical corporate life now, you know."
"Will come to know that tomorrow. Alright, night then!" and she hung up.

After we completed our higher school,we hardly get time for each other. Thinking about tomorrow ,all the nostalgia ran away.
I set the alarm clock,not one but two alarm clocks ,because I am the sleepy head and tomorrow was going to be an important day.
I got into bed while checking my messages for that day and also  Instagram pictures and I didn't even realize the time when sleep took over me.

The next morning I woke up before the alarm clock would do its job. Wow!I said to myself, thinking that I can manage without setting the alarm. Hurriedly, I went in the bathroom, brushed my teeth took a quick bubble bath with my favourite strawberry gel and came out with wet hair. I dried them up just when I decided what to wear. I opened my walk in  wardrobe and pulled out my black jeans and an embroidered crop top and wore it. I tied my hair into a messy bun .
My mom was next door and she told me that she has packed up all the required stuff from packets of chips to my swimming suite." Lucy",I knocked her door and went inside "Oh,mummy!", I  thanked her squeezing her in a tight hug. In return,she kissed my forehead and told me to enjoy the short break.
With that,I took my car keys and sat in my Beetle. I called up daddy to tell him that I was leaving for a short holiday to the coast. He told me to have fun but at the same time he asked me to take care of myself.
With that I turned on the engine and drove out of our villa.

I know Nancy has totally forgotten about her boss and her office...
That's because its weekend ,time to have fun with her life long childhood friends...

The next chapter is surely going to be fun for as Nancy ,Nicholas and Veronica are going to make up for the time they were not able to spent together....
