Nancy's POV:

The next week passed by at an agonizingly slow pace.
Normal routine schedule. Get up, go cycling,attend the clients,full fill their requirements, provide them the best suited services,come back home and slip into the favourite quilt to mark an end of the day.

I decided to keep away from Rickey,Zach and his not so inevitable charm and strictly restrict myself to professional talks. No extra blabbering,no out of the box expectations, in turn no more complications.

We had a meeting with Mrs.Walker. She is the one who manages all the public events for my company. Zach wanted me and unfortunately even Rickey to personally look into the matter and meticulously plan out everything regarding Christmas Celebration Event which was celebrated in Bran Knights' Company every year with great pompous and in a magnificent fashion.

This year there was a grapevine everywhere that something grand is going to happen at the event. Mr.Branson Knight,the CEO is going to announce his retirement,many speculated. No details were known in black and white.

I asked Zach if Vinny could help me out in making the arrangements because she would give me a better company, as compared to Rickey, whom I was in no mood to entertain, under any circumstances.

"Here it is the agenda and the guest list", I handed over, Mrs.Walker the required documents.
" Yes,like every year this party will be a bang on success, don't worry about the preparations. Expect nothing that you don't want it to happen."

"I am sure that you will leave no loop hole and do your best. Mr.Zach Branson Sir has already briefed me up about your past ties with the firm."

"Well then, sit back and relax. I will go through the agenda and tell you if I need extra clarifications on them."

"Yes exactly four weeks are remaining from now onwards," I reminded her.

"We need to send the invitations to everyone including the employees and our business allies," Rickey added.

"I will take care of the guest list as already promised," Mrs Walker replied.

That made me giggle. Fruits of over smartness are always bitter.

"I take your leave now."

"Have a good day,Mrs.Walker ," Vinny said.

After Mrs.Walker left the room, Vinny lipped me,"Come out,I have to discuss a lot with you"near my ear.
With my eyebrows raised I lipped back to her"What is it? "

She left the room without responding to my question.
I picked up the sheets and walked out of the conference room and swiftly reached Vinny's work desk and kept the sheets and no sooner did she pull me out of the office and we went to our secret place where the most confidential talks are due for exchange between us.

"He is one of the Greek God's,isn't he?"

It immediately struck my mind as to about whom the discussion was going to end on.
With a cold blank face I asked her
"Who?"

"Rickey,the man with Greek looks"

"Ok so!"

"And the whole office knows that he is your High School friend"

"Okay go ahead"

"So........don't make me say that out completely."

"Ok I'm not understanding anything"

And my phone vibrated and the screen flashed Zachary B!

"Hello,where are you?"

"Coming in a minute"

"There is some urgent work. Be quick"

"Yes"
And I hung up.

"Was it Zach?"
"Yes.I need to go now. We'll speak about it later Vinny and don't flood your mind with any corrupt ideas of Rickey." I warned her and glared at her giving her a subtle hint of what I expect her to do.

Sometimes you don't want to be stupid, even though you are aware of the fact that you are being stupid.

The very simple but tough war between heart and mind!
Its very difficult to choose between both of them. The heart overpowers the mind in nine out of ten cases in the end.
