Chapter 8

Capricia P.O.V

The driveway was made of red bricks and The mansion had a huge door and a black gate. When the automatic doors opened I felt like I was entering Charlie and the chocolate factory. I was in total awe of the place. I had the most jaw drop reaction. This was more like a city stuffed in a maybe 1000 acres space? The mansions and other buildings were white with reddish-maroon roofs. I couldn't see the back side of the mansion but it was probably beautiful as well. The giant windows had curtains and we had not even entered the house.

There was a glass fountain right in the middles of the driveway. Then car door opened and I quickly got out of the car. Dino came to my side and nodded to follow him. He rang the small bell of the right side of the gigantic door and soon there was a creaking sound and the door opened.

Behind the door stood a old lady maybe in her early seventies. She wore a long blue color gown and her grey hair was braided to fall till her waist. She looked very old but beautiful as such. She didn't have a staff and her back was erect.

"Hello nice you meet you" I said as I extended my hand to the lady.

"Ciao mia cara" she said and shook my hand.

"When Rafael said Aldo was bringing a girl home I couldn't believe it quiet myself. But now I do, you are gorgeous young lady. What's your name?" She asked. Who is Aldo? You know what it rhymes with.

"It's Capricia Devitto but you can call me Kat" I said.

"And why do I call you Cat? You have such a beautiful name which compliments your beauty" she said as we walked in the foyer. She was so sweet and complimenting me making me blush so badly. Dino was quite all the while. I wish like walking up to him and saying 'penny for your thoughts.'

"Maria has a habit of calling everyone with their full names. She believes their's a reason why your parents must have named you, so she insists on it" said Dino.

"Behave Aldobrandino" she said and I laughed.

"Wait is that you full name?" I asked and he looked away like someone had shunned him.

"He's a little shy around girls don't worry you will grow on him" said Maria. I think the exact opposite thing is happening.

Aldobrandino 'Dino' Ferrari.

I feel like I have to meet his maker. Before when I thought about his name Dino, it felt like short for Dinosaur because well he is a monster. He might be asleep for a thousand years but he made an appearance and brought a parade and a beautiful mansion. Maybe he is not. I would love to find out.

He snapped his fingers and the echo bombed in the empty room. It felt like the empty room was build only so people could hear his fingers snap. Like boom-boom-pow. Two guys came in view both dressed in black suits. I bet they have guns in their holster attached to their hip. One had black hair with the other had brown hair.

"Paulo, show Kat to her room" he said looking at the guy with brown hair.

"Nikolai come with me to my office but before that tell Silvano to get Kat's suitcases from the car and drop it in her room" He said to the guy with the black hair. So now I know names of four people in this mansion.

"Follow me" said Paulo. I waved goodbye to Maria hoping to see her again. We walked up the huge stairs which were covered with red carpet. The stairs had a huge chandelier hung above it all shiny and shimmering. We reached up and walked straight then took a left.
