Boss' P.O.V

I saw the car being driven away which made me run faster. I took my gun out and pointed it to the driver and shot. Then I shot both the back tires and the car came to a screeching halt. I ran towards the car and opened the back door to see piccolo tesoro sleeping like a baby. She doesn't even know what was happening right now.

I opened the front door to see that it was one of MMB's man. I quickly threw his body out and went to open the other backside door. I dragged her by her ankles and lifted her head up. Her grip on the gun was tight, like she was ready to attack whenever.

I saw Paulo's car driving towards me and he stopped and open the back door and I got in with Capricia still huddled on lap and asleep. Paulo drove to a safe distance and then broke the silence.

"What happened?"

"One of the mob boss' men tried to kidnap her"

"We need to keep her safe, yesterday she saved Nikolai and today she was the one in trouble, we cannot risk her anymore"

"I know, get to the hotel. You, Capricia and I are leaving for Florence in the morning. Others will have to stay back here. Find a secluded lake house or something, we cannot stay at the hotel anymore" I said in a stern voice.

"Yes Boss" Paulo said and called someone probably Enzo and drove faster. I looked down to the Angel in my arms and the moment I was ready to not look back and run like a fool out of that warehouse putting myself in danger. I knew I was attached to this girl and I would protect her with my life.

In the span of two months she has changed my demeanour but only towards herself personally. But it's been a year since I've known her and observed her and tracked her. I might be her stalker for all I care but I did like her. When was the last time I kissed a girl? When was the last time I brought a girl home? And when the fuck have I let anyone on the first floor with me?! Not even my own mother! No one was allowed to be on the first floor more than a few minutes because they knew what would happen if they did.

I caressed her cheeks and moved the hair away from her face. She snored a little which made me giggle a little. When was the last time I laughed? When was I ever being so close to happy? My life was filled with darkness the day my father died. What he did was unforgivable and unfortunate at the same time.

Capricia made an attempt to move to a comfortable position and finally stopped when her head was on my chest right near my beating heart. Her hand on my arm holding on and her other hand still holding the gun. This girl just amazes me with each movement she makes and with every word she speaks.

After we arrived to the hotel, I carried her upstairs and laid her down in her bed. I asked Paulo to pack all her things and put then in the car.

"I'll drive her back, you leave with all the luggage and leave the weapons for Enzo and the others" I said.

"Yes Boss"

"Even when we go back, I will need someone to be around her and I can see how much you both trust each other so that's your task, to keep my girl safe" I said.

He nodded and left.

Did I really just say 'my girl.' Never in a million years would I have ever said that. I slept on the couch in Capricia's room, I just couldn't bring myself to leave her alone.

The stirring in the room woke me up and I saw Piccolo Tesoro staring at me.

"I thought you said staring is rude?"

"I was just observing and wondering how I got back here?"

"You fell asleep, don't worry nothing happened. ." To you at least. It would have been terrible. ". . We are leaving in an hour, so get ready in whatever clothes you get because Paulo packed all your stuff" I said looking at my watch.

"It has to stop"

"What has to stop?"

"You boys packing my things, I have some precious garments in there"

"You have no special garments in there, especially no raunchy underwear"

"Wow the mob boss just said 'raunchy underwear' to me, I give you 100% on professionalism"

"Thank you for that. Now you go please get ready, I'll order for some breakfast. And you should probably let go of that gun now" I said and smiled at her as I walked out. I cleaned up and shaved, dressing into a crisp blue suit I walked back to the main room to see the breakfast being jumped by an hungry pig.

"May I join you?" I asked making her aware of my presence. She looked up and nodded at me with a mouth full of toast. The ends of my lips curved upwards, at that moment I was satisfied.

"Why are we leaving?"

"Because most of the work is done here"

"Oh okay. So did it do well last night?"

"You can say that"

"Good for you and me" she said waving her knife in the air as she picked up another toast to butter.

After I was done we left the room and walked outside. Paulo had brought the car around. After Kat sat down and squealed at the car, we left Rome.

The drive felt longer this time as Kat was observing every little detail outside. The scenery had now changed to something which looked more countryside. The road was completely empty and there were no cars behind us either. So I decided to speed up the car, Kat turned back in her seat and looked dead ahead.

I slowed the car after I saw something black on the horizon. It looked like a bunch of black cars and people standing outside and they had completely blocked the road.

After coming to a complete stop about 10 meters from then I looked at their faces. These were no ordinary people who had a car breakdown or something. The freaking Russians were blocking our way and I had no back-up, only two guns in the cars and my girl to protect.

"Holy fuck" said Capricia as she looked at the men before us. Maybe she knew we were in trouble too.

"Yeah holy fuxking fuck" I said and I turned off the engine and looked at Kat.
