Chapter 18

Capricia's P.O.V

I drove as fast as I could to get out of there. Nikolai was sitting in the passenger seat bleeding out of his right shoulder, I had to do something fast. I couldn't take him back to the hotel like this nor I could take him to the hospital with a bullet wound. I didn't have time to explain it to the authorities. He had tied a cloth tightly around it to stop the bleeding and his leather jacket had pretty much lessened the pressure of the bullet.

My phone was ringing but I couldn't reach the backseat. Nikolai was slowly loosing consciousness.

"Hey buddy stay awake, talk to me"

"Don't worry I'm not going to die it's just a bullet wound. Kat relax"

"What do you mean relax you're shot Niko" I said and saw a pharmacy open. I quickly took Niko's wallet from his pocket and jumped out. I bought gauze, tweezers, a bottle of spirit, a clean cloth, a needle and a thread with a packet of painkillers.

I got in the car with the stuff and started driving again. We reached a place far away and the roads here were silent.

"Do you have a lighter?"

"Yes, it's right there" he said and pointed to the glove compartment. I got the lighter out quickly.

"Take off your jacket and face me" I said and he did. I got out bottle of spirit and poured it in his wound, the rest fell down his arm onto the leather seat. I then took out the tweezers and used the lighter to get them heated.

"This is going to hurt" I said and he bit the collar of the leather jacket between his teeth after saying "Do it"

I stuck the tweezers in and moved it around to take out the bullet. Then I used the clean cloth with spirit to clean it up. I just took the bottle of water in the car and poured it and cleaned it better.

I put the thread in the needle and heated the needle.

"I have to do this"

"It's okay just do it. It'll be like an ant poking" he said and I started stitching him up. He kept his cries muffed as he bit hard into the collar of his leather jacket. It took me five minutes to stitch up his wound and then I started driving back to the hotel. Niko was all stitched and he popped two of the painkillers.

I was worried about Dino and knew I had to call him but right now my priority was to get Niko safely inside his hotel room without anyone else shooting at us.

There was blood on my hands when we reached the hotel. Niko had worn the leather jacket back as it only draped over his shoulders. We went to the top floor and there was no one on the floor. We sauntered over to Niko's hotel suit. I laid him down in the bed then gave him a glass of water.

"You take care buddy. I will see you later" I said putting the comforter over him.

"Thank you Kat. That was very precise"

"You're welcome" I said and walked out going to my own room. The blood on my hands had dried out and I needed to wash it off. I entered the room and started walking to the door when I heard the door open.

I turned around to see a very concerned Dino walking towards me. His eyes were blazing with anger but somehow his eyes looked a little calm when he saw me.

"Dino?"

"Dios! Capricia , where the hell have you been I was so worried about you" he said and he was too close me. I raised my hands saying I'm perfectly fine.
