idk what to think of this, man

It would be an understatement to say that Mitch was having a bad day. He just couldn't get anything right today. During breakfast, he dropped his plate and broke it, and eggs went everywhere. In the morning's  Starbucks run, they got his order wrong. He had already woken up in a cranky mood, so he wasn't about to tolerate this.

"Hey Marianne, lets go, alright?" Scott said. "We don't want to be late for the meeting."

He nodded, plastering that smile he'd had on his face all day. He stood up, grabbing Scott's hand as they walked to their car.

The rest of the day went uniformly, Mitch's ideas in the meeting were ignored, as usual. Scott took Mitch out to lunch at Panera Bread, and they ordered their usual.

"Hon, you okay?" Scott asked the smaller male.

"Yeah, why wouldn't I be, love?" Mitch smiled.

"You've been quiet all day. Except for the meeting, that is."

"Just tired, I guess."

"You're always tired. I'm always tired. Everyone's always tired."

"I mean like, overtired."

"Mhm." Scott smirked, eating a forkful of salad. "Let me know if you want to talk, babe."

"Sure." Mitch acted like nothing was wrong.

Scott walked behind Mitch as the boys got back into the apartment that they shared, grabbing one of Mitch's wrists once the boys were both in the apartment.

"Mitch. What's wrong? Did something happen?"

"Scott, why are you so on my case today? I swear, it's nothing."

"So there is something."

"No. There's nothing. That was literally the whole point of what I just said, boo."

Scott let go of the boy's wrist and crossed his arms.

"Tell me."

"It's nothing!" Mitch said, probably louder than he should've. There was no way he was going to convince Scott he was fine now.

"Uh huh, okay. And what is this 'nothing' you speak of?"

"I don't know." Mitch said softly. "I'm just not having a good day."

"C'mere." Scott took Mitch to their bed, and they both sat down. "Bad day?"

Mitch nodded.

"Anything in particular?"

Mitch shook his head.

"It's alright. Everyone has bad days. Remember the time I got so mad at nothing that I started screaming at Alex? He had no idea what to do, so he just left, and then you came home and saw me crying. You made my day better. We watched Disney movies and cuddled for the rest of the night." Scott kissed his forehead.

"I just feel like I can't get anything right today."

"That's okay." Scott looked into Mitch's eyes. "If you can't do anything right, I can't even imagine what I'd be like."

Mitch laughed lightly.

"See, that's what I fell in love with. I'm not trying to force you to be happy or anything, just want to help you a bit."

"Thank You. I love you." Mitch kissed Scott.

"I love you too, more than you know." Scott whispered against his lips.
