"What did we do on our first date?" Mitch asked as I drove.

"See, we didn't really go on official dates. We'd just...hang out."

"Um?"

"I mean yes, they were dates. I guess we just didn't really count them as dates. I guess our first 'official' date would have to be when I took you roller skating."

"That's weird. I don't skate."

I laughed. "That's exactly what you said the first time. Now we go every Saturday night."

"We do?"

"We did. Again, I'm not pushing you into anything you don't want to get into."

"Okay, how about we just start with lunch first?"

"Alright." I nodded. "I'll take you to lunch."

I took him to his favorite restaurant, which he remembered going to with friends or his parents. Lunch went nice, I didn't push him into kissing me or anything afterwards.

When I dropped him off at his parents house, he was happy.

"Thank you, Scott." He smiled before walking inside.

His mom walked outside.

"I'm so sorry, Scott."

"No, don't be. I'd rather deal with memory loss than him being dead. The doctors said he came close." I said, reassuring her.

"Are you two still dating?" She asked.

"I'm not forcing him to do anything he's not ready for. Even if that means we don't end up dating again, I just want him to be comfortable."

"Okay, honey. Call me if you need anything."

A month passed and things were getting better.

Mitch and I were hanging out every day. Whether it was a date or not, that didn't matter to me. His injuries were healed and he wasn't in any pain at all anymore.

Mitch had told me he had officially "fallen in like" with me. I was happy and I laughed at the term he used for it before replying.

"Ready?" I asked as Mitch got into the car.

"More ready then I'll ever be." Mitch said, smiling.

I was taking him roller skating.

We got to the rink and put our rentals on when Mitch got nervous.

"Are you absolutely sure I loved this? Like 100% sure?" He asked.

I laughed. "I wouldn't be taking you here if you didn't. Now, one thing you didn't like was Ice Skating."

"Sounds like me." He laughed too.

I took him around the rink a few times, and he was a natural. Just like the first time.

"This is actually kind of fun." He smiled at me.

"Yeah?" I asked.

"Mhm." He looked down at his skates, bewildered that he wasn't falling on his ass.

"See, the first time, I fell quite a few times." I said. "At least I know how to do this."

He smiled, the genuine smile I'd fallen in love with.

I skated closer to him so that we were face to face, both holding onto the wall.

"Can I kiss you?" I whispered.

He nodded before I leaned in. It was sweet and gentle.

"Wow," Mitch said, grabbing my cheeks and kissing me again, deeply this time.

We stayed at the rink for a few more hours and I dropped Mitch off to his parents house afterwards.

"Would it be weird if I asked to spend the night at um, your place tonight?" Mitch asked.

"Are you sure you want to?"

He nodded.

Mitch and I sat on my living room couch, watching Frozen. Which in this case, this time was his first time watching it.

"Oh Anna, if only there was someone out there who actually loved you."

Mitch gasped. "He did not just say that!"

I laughed.

We finished the movie, and he was still stunned.

"I can't fucking believe Hans." Mitch laughed. "Disney's getting better."

I nodded. "It is."

We sat in a comfortable silence for a few minutes, before Mitch spoke.

"I want to cuddle."

"What?"

"Cuddle. You know. Cuddle your lover." He said.

"Now don't rush into-"

"Scott. If I didn't want to cuddle, I wouldn't have mentioned it."

"I guess it's getting late, anyways." I said. "We can go in my bedroom? Let's change."

"Can I borrow some clothes?" He bit his lip.

God, he's adorable.

"Of course. Do sweatpants and a tshirt sound okay?"

He nodded, and I gave him some clothes to borrow, and we changed, meeting again in my bedroom.

"You ready?" He asked.

"Hey, I'm used to this." I laughed.

We climbed into bed, and I wrapped my arms around Mitch's torso. I kissed the back of his ear, and he relaxed. We both fell asleep in about ten minutes.

~

I opened my eyes to see Mitch asleep, facing me.

"Hey." I whispered.

Mitch's eyes slowly fluttered open and he sighed. "Hey." He whispered back, smiling.

"Sleep well?" I asked.

"Mhm." Mitch hummed, bringing me in for a quick morning kiss.

"Breakfast?"
