(Hayes' POV)
"Leah!" I called after her but she slammed the door quickly cutting me off. Anger was boiling inside me as I looked at my brother. He had a stupid satisfied look on his face that made me sick. I was ashamed to even be related to him right now. How could I be so stupid? It was so obvious that Nash an his friends had been hurting Leah, so why hadn't I noticed it? "What the Hell!" I yelled at him with hatred dripping from my voice.
"Hayes!" My Mom yelled walking out of the kitchen. "Watch your mouth. Now whats going on?" She asked looking between me and all the boys.
I looked at Nash and he had a look on his face that said 'I know you won't dare tell her' and he was right. "Nothing." I mumbled before walking quickly to the door, shoving Nash along the way and slammed the door hard behind me.
I started walking down the road trying to find Leah but it was like she had completely disappeared. My phone buzzed in my pocket and I quickly pulled it out hoping it was Leah, but it wasn't. It was Cameron.
"Hello?" I asked harshly, still angry with my asshole brother.
"Woah man, whats your problem?" Cameron asked threw the phone.
"Um, long story." I sigh. "is Leah with you?" I ask hoping she had gone to him, despite being angry with him. But judging by the long pause in our conversation, she had not.
"What? Your supposed to be with her!" He shouted almost in a state of panic. "How could you lose her?! Oh my god! You're so stupid!"
"It's just that Nash got home and-" he cut my off with more yelling.
"Nash was there?! I swear to god if he laid so much as one finger on Leah I will personally SHOVE HIS FOOT UP HIS ASS!"
And I thought I was mad...
"Wait-" I start.
"God! What the hell man?! I TRUSTED YOU WITH HER!" Cameron yelled I erupting me again. "I SWEAR to god I anything happens to her.. I will kill you. She is everything to me! And if I lose her because of you and your stupid ass brother I will RIP OF YOU ARMS AND BEAT THE HELL OUT OF YOU!"
I held my phone away from my ear so I don't go deaf.
"Look I get it! Okay? It's not my fault she ran out! And it's not my fault Nash is an ass. I tried to stop her, alright?" I say angrily. I get it. I know I was supposed to watch her but it's not a exactly easy when she's running from you.
"Whatever! Okay just- ugh never don't do anything! I will find her." He sighed before hanging up.

(Cam's POV)I grabbed my keys before running out of my room and down the stairs.
"Hey Cam can you give me a hand with these?" My mom asked carrying in a bunch o shopping bags.
"Not now mom." I grumbled and pushed quickly past her and out the door.
I quickly got in my car and started it. Leah could be anywhere by now. Ugh stupid Hayes. Stupid Nash. Stupid me.
I looked out my window trying to spot my brown haired best friend. She means everything to me, and if anything happens to her I wouldn't be able to live with my self.
This was my fault. If I wouldn't have yelled at her this would have never happened. And she'd be safe. The last time ran off like this I almost lost her, if I hadn't found her when I did she would have been dead.
After about 20 minutes of aimlessly driving around I park next to the park and get out. This is the only other place she would have gone.
I walked threw the trails in the woods trying to remember where are fort is, if it was even still standing.
"Leah!" I yelled out hoping for a response, but I don't hear anything. It was getting dark and I was worried.
Our town was known to have a lot of creeps around. And I know that any of them would target Leah, thanks to her dad. Not to mention she's very small and skinny. She really does have a fragile look to her to. Thinking about this only made me more worried as I hurried down the path hoping my little Lea would be there.
I finally found our fort and climbed up the first few branches of the tree to it and opened the hatch.
"Leah?" I called out again looking around.
"Go away." Responded a small voice. Leah.
I let out a breath of relief and climbed the rest of the way up to the small fort. Leah was standing with her back to me, looking at all of the pictures we had taped to the wall.
"Thank god your okay!" I ran to her and wrapped my arms around her. I didn't care if she was still mad at me, I couldn't take it anymore. I needed her next to me again.
She let out a shaky breath and turned to look at me. Her cheeks we stained with tears and her eyes were red. She looked so small and hurt. And it hurt me to see her like that.
I just wanted to hold her forever and protected from everything bad, but I knew I couldn't.
"Are you okay?" I asked still holding tightly into her, afraid that if I let her go she would just slip away for ever.
I heard her sniffle before she nodded. But the way she clung to my shirt told me otherwise.
"What's wrong Lea?"
"Everything." She hiccuped. "Everything is wrong."
"That's not true." I say rubbing circles on her back.
"Yes it is!" She sobs. "I screw everything up. Everyone... Everyone hates me."
"Stop saying that." I say holder her closer, if that's even possible. "I don't hate you. Leo doesn't hate you. JJ, my mom, Gilinsky, even Hayes, none of us hate you."
"But think of all the people who do hate me!" She cries.
"Those people are missing out. Missing out on an amazing, beautiful, kind hearted girl." I lift her face up so she looking at me. "So don't let them get to you, they are only jealous of you. Jealous that they can never be as strong as you are." I smile at her and she gives me a small smile in return.
"Can we go home now?" She asks referring to my house.
"Of course." I grab her hand and pull her over to the hatch before climbing down the tree with Leah.
