(A/N) whoa okay guys I'm sorry the last chapters have been really serious and sad...
______________
(Leah's POV still first class)

"Aye Leah!" A slightly high voice yelled. I looked up from my sketch book where I was drawing a fallen angel. It was Matt. And he was smiling really big at me. "Guess what!" He said and sat next to me.

"Uh....?" I look at him weird. "What?"

"I told Nash I didn't want to be part of his group anymore!" He let a squeal and bounced in his seat. "Freedom!" He stood up on his chair and yelled. Lucky for us we were the only ones in the classroom.

Wait where was everybody?

"That's great!" I say smiling at him.  "But sit down before you break your arm or something." He laughed but sat down anyway.

"Ooh what are you drawing?" He asked trying to look at my sketchbook.

"Nothing!" I yell and slam it shut. He slumped in his seat while pouting. "Sorry...." I mumble feeling bad. "It's just I draw a lot of personal things in here."

"No it's fine I get it." Matthew said as our teacher walked in.

"Good morn- where is everyone?" He asked once looking up and noticing nobody was here.

"Um sir." Matt raised his hand.

"Yes Mathew?"

"I think Sophie organized another skip day." Matt chuckled but Mr Skibba groaned.

"Again?" He sighed while setting his stuff down on his desk "That's the third time this month!"

I laughed a little at his irritation. Of course this was Sophie's fault.

"Remind me to yell at her on Monday." Mr Skibba sighed. "I'm going to go talk to the principle about this. You have a free period."

I looked at Matt who was smiling widely. Why didn't he skip today? I mean surly Sophie told him about the skip day. It makes since that I wouldn't know but Matthew is popular and he obviously knew about it. "Why didn't you skip?" I finally ask.

"I don't know." He shrugged. "I had no reason to." I gave him a questioning look so he continued. "I don't want to hang around Nash anymore, or any of the boys, so what would I have even done? I mean now that I think of it I don't really have any other real friends. Just those random groups of people who always follow me around."

I think about what he said. It was true, he didn't have any other real friends. "Oh." I mumble not really knowing what else to say.

"Sooo..." Matt says standing back up. "About what happened between you and the other boys." He pauses. "And Hayes."

"It's nothing." I sigh. "It's done and over, nothing can be done about it now."

"That's not true." Matt said smiling. "Something can always be done." I shrug not really listening anymore. "But anyway, why are you mad at Hayes?"

I look up at him. "I'm not mad at Hayes..."

"But he told me you've been avoiding him?"

I sat in silence not sure how to respond to that. Sure I have been avoiding him but I wasn't mad at him. I guess I was just scared to face him? Or I didn't want to break apart his family anymore? I wasn't sure.

"Never mind, I shouldn't have brought that up." Matt says looking guilty.

"It's fine." I shrug. "I'm just not sure how I feel right now." Matt nods looking around.
