You See Her

Hey guys, I made another poem.

You're thinking about her,
But you're holding me in your arms.
And as your arms tighten
I start to suffocate
in envy and rejection,
A red and blue blur.
My reflection in your eyes
Becoming clearer for me to see.
But you don't see me,
You see her.
And I can tell you're thinking of her
When you smile absently,
And again I'm suffocating,
The breath vacuumed
out of my lungs.
And even though you look at me,
I see that your gaze stabs
Right through me,
Because you're not seeing me,
You see her.
And I don't know why I think
I have a chance with you,
As you never look at me that way.
There's always a different girl
That I have to watch you
Fall in love with,
And when they break your heart
I'm the one who has to patch it up.
Have you ever thought of mine?
When I see you look through me
As you see her,
My heart is torn again
At the seams
That I had sewn last time.
And my heart never fully heals,
Because before it can,
You fall in love with another girl,
And you look through me
Even though you're holding me.
