When I woke up, there was something hard pressed against the back of my leg. I rubbed my eyes and turned around to see what it was. I let out a loud scream when I saw a naked Jack Barakat sleeping beside me. I looked down at myself and I was fully-clothed. There was nothing out of the ordinary about me. Jack on the other hand...

He slowly peeled his eyes open and looked down at his naked figure. He shrugged and began putting his clothes back on as if it were no big deal.

“You do realize you just woke up naked in the back of a van next to a girl you’ve barely known for a month, correct?” I asked, completely baffled at his laidback appearance.

“At least I’m the only one naked so you’re probably not pregnant,” he said, smiling tiredly at me.

I burst out laughing. Somehow this guy could get anyone laughing even if you’re in the worst of situations. “We should probably head back now,” I added with a bit of a pout.

“But first we should get breakfast,” he said, putting on all of his clothes and opening the door to the van. He grabbed my hand and pulled me out of the van. We went into the bar in attempt to find some food.

We sat down at one of the tables and a waitress came up to us and gave us a small menu with like, three things on it.

“Wow, it might take me a while to decide on what I’m eating,” Jack said sarcastically, staring at the small menu.

“You could always come into the kitchen and find something... more suitable to your liking.” This bitch of a waitress was flirting with him! How do you even flirt with a guy when his friend that looked like she might be his girlfriend was sitting right there?

Jack looked at her with a surprised look on his face. “Actually, I think the French toast sounds really good right now, thanks,” he shot, passing her the menu and looking back at me. “What would you like, Aubrey?”

“Um... I’ll have the same,” I said, passing her the menu as well.

She mumbled something under her breath and walked away.

Once she was out of an earshot I burst out laughing. “I thought for sure you were going to take her offer. But did you see her face? That was priceless,” I said, wiping away a tear.

“Well, I’m with you now. So I probably won’t take her offer any time soon, unless, of course, you turn into a giant bitch and I seek revenge,” he replied with a sweet smile.

“So, we’re like... dating now?” I swear there has never been a moment in my life where I felt more awkward. When I first started dating Justin, we didn’t even think of labeling ourselves even after plenty of dates. We just simply assumed we were boyfriend and girlfriend, I don’t understand why it’s so different with Jack.

“I guess that’s what it looks like, doesn’t it?”

I glared at him. “You’re not funny,” I muttered.

            He laughed.

When we got back to the camp, Jack dropped me off at my cabin and I was secretly hoping that everyone was still asleep even though it was around 2:00 in the afternoon.

“Aubrey, what the hell?” Katrina yelled as soon as I walked in.

“Good afternoon, Katrina,” I said, sitting at the kitchen table to prepare myself for her huge lecture.

“Why the hell did you just walk out yesterday without your phone and not come back? Do you know how worried we were? I thought Jack was raping you or something! What the hell is wrong with you?” She scolded. She couldn’t even look at me because she was so mad.

“I’m pretty sure you know everything that’s wrong with me. I just needed to get away for a bit, no big deal. I’m a big girl, I think I can take care of myself.” I’ve had my fair share of fights with Katrina, and I still don’t really deal with them too well. But usually after getting her fix, she’ll be fine half an hour later.

“Aubrey, we’re going to practice our set for this concert, and if you leave, you are permanently leaving this band. No questions,” she said, sternly. Then she looked at Brett and Steve over on the couch, staring at us. “Get over here, we’re getting our set ready for this stupid concert.”

After five days and countless hours of practicing, it was finally the day of the concert. Pretty much every night I would sneak out when everyone was sleeping so I could spend some time with Jack, so I got pretty much zero sleep and I was running on Monster energy drinks to keep me alive.

“You’re wearing a Boner shirt? Are you serious, Aubrey?” Katrina asked when I came downstairs the morning of the concert. I was wearing one of Jack’s Boner shirts tucked into a pair of Hot Topic skinny jeans.

I nodded while getting an energy drink out of the fridge. “It’s comfortable and affordable,” I teased.

            “You’re an idiot.”

Let’s just say Katrina isn’t really forgiving me right away like she’s supposed to be. I guess she forgot to take her happy pill before coming to this camp, and she’s a lot more moody than usual, and her usual is pretty moody.

“Let’s concert guys! No drama, just concert!” Steve cheered, coming down the stairs and putting his arm around my shoulders.

“Concert isn’t a verb, Steve,” Katrina muttered, glaring at him.

“It is today!” Brett added, also coming down the stairs and putting his arm around Katrina’s shoulders. “Today we’re forgetting that we’re all fighting girls because we’re in a successful band and we’re going to perform,” he added.

“That’ll be easy for me, but I don’t know about Ms. Everyone-Bow-Down-To-Me over here,” I said, pulling Steve’s arm off of me and walking out the door.

I kicked around some woodchips as I walked towards the All Time Low cabin. Just being around Jack could brighten anyone’s day. He was just always happy, and his happiness just rubbed off on everyone.

I let myself into the cabin and saw them all sitting on the couch, watching Adventure Time, probably under Jack’s request.

“Aubrey!” Jack yelled, hopping off the couch and running towards me.

“Jack!” I yelled back as he gave me a tight embrace.

“Can you not?” Alex asked from the couch.

“Can we not what, Alex? Does this bother you?” Jack asked, teasingly as he crashed his lips onto mine.

I smiled against his lips as a pillow was thrown at us.

“You better not do this shit at the concert!”

            “We’ll see about that.”
