Girl, you look like you came to the club to party

Dance, and you cause a fuss when you move your body

Guys drink they alcohol

And they try to swarm you

But you intimidate, as they walk away, as they walk away

They sing

Damn girl, you got a rocking body

You sure know how to work it

So let me see you shake the thing, shake the thing

Shake it

Loose them other guys, don't be afraid

I got you in my sight, I'm heading your way

Cause I'm a heat seeker, and you're hot as flames

I couldn't help myself, look what you make me say.”

As my friends and I entered the house, I couldn’t help but gaze in awe. The house was huge, and very tastefully decorated with expensive-looking finishes. Not to mention the place looked like someone had spent a week decorating it just for this one Hawaii-themed party. There was a tiki bar with a bartender behind it making a plethora of island-themed drinks like strawberry daiquiris, margaritas, and piña coladas. The drinks even had those cute little umbrellas in them. Whoever was hosting this party really went all-out. A DJ was playing all the hottest music in the corner of the living room by the sliding glass doors that lead outside. The backyard was probably the coolest part of the whole house, though. There was another tiki bar out there, next to an area that looked like it was primarily used for a dance floor judging by the large group of people swaying there. There was a decent-sized swimming pool with palm trees surrounding it, and lighted tiki torches scattered all around the yard. Flowered necklaces, similar to the one that already hung around my neck, dangled from the branches of the palm trees and people would occasionally take one off and wear it.

“Shots?” Anna asked us, pointing to the outside tiki bar.

Raleigh, Nicole, and I eagerly nodded and followed Anna. Was that even a question?

The bartender handed us 4 tequila shots complete with limes and salt. We licked the skin on our hands between our thumb and index finger, sprinkled the salt where we had just licked, then held up and clinked our full shot glasses together.

“To a well-deserved girls night out!” Raleigh shouted.

We tapped our shots on the counter of the bar then tipped them back into our mouths, quickly placing the limes in after swallowing and biting down. Tequila burned its way down my esophagus. It’d been way too long since I’d done a tequila shot. I coughed a little before placing my used lime into my empty shot glass and ordering a fruity drink to get the taste of tequila out of my mouth.

“I’ll have a strawberry daiquiri please,” I told the bartender, who looked like he was in his mid-thirties.

“Make that two,” Nicole said behind me. She was such a lightweight, I wouldn’t be surprised if she was already tipsy off just that one shot.
