I was walking home alone in the rain sadly. All these thoughts were running through my head. What if I could never play basketball again? What if I could never play sports again? I was about to cry but I stopped myself. "Riley Parker never cries," I thought to myself as I wiped away a tear. I was passing a neighborhood where two little boys were playing with a ball in the street.

Then, my head throbbed like crazy. I put my hand to my forehead and closed my blue eyes. When I opened them, they were yellow and time stopped. The world turned gray. The boys stopped playing, the people stopped moving, time just stopped. Everyone and everything was frozen. But just then, a blue figure made of light came out of one of the frozen boys. It was shaped just like the boy it came out of. Then a green figure of light came out of the second boy, shaped like the boy. The two figures started playing with the ball, when suddenly, a pink light car drove in the neighborhood and hit one of the boys!

Then, the figures vanished and my eyes turned back to blue. The world was back to normal. Suddenly, a car, like the one in my vision sped into the neighborhood! "Watch out!" I screamed as I dove out and pushed the little boy out of the way! The car kept going and crashed into a tree. Everyone was cheering! "You saved my son's life!" said a woman most likely to be the boy's mother. "Thank you so much!" she said as she gave me $100!

"I don't need any money ma'am," I said but she insisted I keep it.

"Look!" a neighbor said, "I got the whole thing on video!" Soon, the cops came and arrested the driver. Also the news came and the reporter asked, "What's going on here?"

"That girl saved my son's life!" the mother said pointing to me. The reporter came over to me.

"May I please have an interview?" the reporter asked.

"Sure," I said. The cameras turned on and the reporter said,

"Today on CNN, a little boy's life was saved by a crashing car by this young hero! Now what's your name?"

"Riley. Parker," I said into the microphone.

"What happened?" asked the reporter.

"Well, I was walking home and a saw these two kids playing. I saw the car and my instincts told me to jump," I said.

"Well, I'm pretty sure the world owes you a huge thank you," the reporter said, "How old are you?"

"I'm 16," I said.

"Well, our time is up!" said the reporter, "Stay tuned!" Then the cameras turned off as she went to interview the mother. I walked away thinking, What just happened to me?
