I open my eyes and find that I'm trapped in Killian's embrace. My head is on his chest and his arm is wrapped around me. I look up and see his dreamy blue eyes looking down at me. "Good morning, sleepy head." He says, kissing my hair.
"What time is it?" I ask.
"Almost 8:30."
I snuggle closer to him. "Just a few more minutes."
Eventually, we get out of bed and we each take a shower. While I'm getting ready, I hear someone cooking in the kitchen and smile. On the weekdays, I usually make a quick breakfast before driving to work. But on the weekends, Killian usually cooks something really delicious. I'm excited to see what he's making today.
It's been about two months since Killian came back. I still have my usual job, and Killian has his new job with the New York Squib group. He says he likes it down here, and I know he does, but I can also tell that he still misses his family. I've suggested to him that one of these days we'll go visit them, and that makes him happier.
I go to the kitchen and hug him from behind. "What's for breakfast?" I ask.
"Guess." He says.
I let go of him and look at the stove. "Wow, eggs, pancakes, and bacon?"
"And toast." Killian says, gesturing to the toaster.
"Need any help?" I ask.
"Do you want to flip the pancakes?" He says, smiling.
"No, I'm just going to mess them up. I can't flip them as well as you can." I say.
"No you're not! Come on, I'll help you." He says.
I grab the handle and he stands behind me and places his hands on top of mine. "Okay, so all we're doing is pushing the pan up. Ready?"
"Yeah." I say.
We push the pan together and the pancake flips onto the other side. "Look, you did it!" He says.
"We did it together." I say. "Let's do it again!"
We end up flipping all the pancakes together. He finishes the eggs and I cook the bacon. He grabs the toast from the toaster and I brew some coffee. When we've finished, we look at the table full of food. "I think we're ready to start eating." Killian says.
"Okay, you sit down. I'll go get Henry."
I walk over to his room. "Henry? An amazing breakfast is waiting for you."
"Okay, I'll be right out."
I walk back to the table and sit down across from Killian. "He's coming. We can get started."
I grab a full plate of food and start eating. Henry comes out and sits down next to us. "Wow, looks yummy. Thanks Killian."
"Thank your mom. She helped me out this time."
I smile at him. "He did most of it."
I stare at him for another few seconds before looking at Henry. "How are you doing?"
"Oh, Claire and I were just planning our next date. We were thinking dinner."
"You should go to this Italian place downtown. We know someone there who will take care of you." Killian says, smirking.
I laugh. "Yes. Just ask for Maddy."
"Okay, thanks guys." Henry says, getting out his phone and texting Claire.
Killian and I share a look. We're both so happy that Henry has Claire. Now that Killian and I are back together, my whole life doesn't revolve around Henry. We're really glad he has a girlfriend to hang out with. And they're really cute together.
When we finish breakfast, Henry goes back into his room and Killian and I sit on the couch and hold hands. "So, what do you want to do today?" Killian asks.
"I kinda just want to hang out." I say, leaning my head on his shoulder.
"That's good with me." He says.
Suddenly, I get an idea. "Wait, remember that scrapbook I got you for Christmas?"
"Yeah." He says.
"I want to work on that today." I say.
"Okay. I'm happy doing anything as long as it's with you."
I lean in and kiss him sweetly. He kisses me on the nose, which produces a giggle from me. Then he stands up and offers me his hand. I take it and stand up. "Let's get to work." He says.
We drive first to Costco to print out some pictures, and then to Michaels to get craft supplies. After grabbing a quick bite to eat, we pick up the pictures and drive home. On the table, I lay out the supplies and Killian fetches the scrapbook. "Okay, from the beginning, then?" Killian asks.
"Yep. The very beginning. First was Broadway and Seventh." I say, picking up a picture of my yellow bug and his black sports car. "You want to glue it down?"
"Sure." He says.
Next to his picture, I glue down a picture of the street signs that say Broadway and Seventh. "What should the title of this page be?" I ask him.
"Hmmm...Our first meeting?" He suggests. "The day our lives changed forever?"
"Wow, that's dramatic." I say.
"Okay then, the day we met?"
"Perfect." I say, writing it down.
Many hours later, we complete our scrapbook up to the present. We couldn't include everything, but we chose some special events: Broadway and Seventh, when he gave me his umbrella, Labor Day at the mall, when he first sang to me in front of that music shop, the rainy barbecue party, our first date, watching Clueless on Netflix, ice skating in Agloe, Thanksgiving dinner and the walk afterwards, watching Peter Pan and eating pizza, meeting again at the ice skating rink in front of Rockefeller Center, and Christmas Day.
I smile at him. "That was really fun. Thanks, Killian."
"Thank you, Emma, for being in my life."
He kisses me on the cheek and then makes his way over to my lips. I kiss him back, and then eventually pull back and smile. "I love you, Killian Jones."
"I love you, Emma Swan."
