Lay Me Down With Eagles

When I die,
Lay me down with Eagles.
Let me soar and fly.
Because once you live,
You can say bye,
But you can never walk away.

And when the leeches come,
Like the limestone sarcophaguses,
To eat away my flesh.
Let my candle burn not wavering in the wind,
I will be an eagle,
And carry you away.

Oh, The Eagles,
How they soar.
No longer am I scared.
For when I die,
The Eagle will swoop down,
And take me,
To where I will reside.
And The Eagle will reside
Here, to fill our hollow hearts,
The Eagle will make us all soar.
The End will come with fire and rage,
The ocean burning and the ground breaking,
But from above the Eagle will carry us away.
Giving us a sedative and cooling our fear.
And giving us the hope we lost.

As the tide rises,
And the moon sets.
The sun will rise,
And daylight will provide,
The light to lead the Eagle to set me free
When I die,
Lay me down with Eagles.

Thank you, Angel.
Angel, Eagle what aren't you?
Your name burns in the back of my mind.
This is for you, my Eagle,
You rest in peace.
Fly away,
Fly far away, into lands of desert music
Full of wailing and screeching,
Full of soaring vinyls and bicycles,
And wood trophies,
As well as the stench of cigarette smoke.
