Burnt

Your burning habits,
Your smoking habits,
Your crying yourself habits.
Liver tries so hard to keep you alive,
Your lungs will fade and your liver will collapse,
Trying to keep you away
From the trouble of dying.
Just to have a buzz,
And push this all away.

The people they want you gone.
You did this to yourself.
You burnt your lungs,
And cast away your liver.
What are you hiding from?

Your father's been long gone,
And your mother still sits by your television,
Your brother is there,
With your mother.
What are you hiding from?

What about your children?
And their children?
Why did you cast it all away?
Your husband left you,
You were too good for him.

The days that pass turn to years,
And you realize
Your liver has given,
And your heart is
Burnt.
