Her Lil peptalk to boost up her mind sure did some magic.
She was curious.
In just minutes time she got ready and headed to work.
Her glorified interns Job was driving her crazy. She just handled it well.
Somehow entire day she avoided any new confrontation from Ajeesh.
She wanted to go home ASAP. I mean not literally her home but being alone was what she needed.
When she roaming around the office to submit her visa and other documents. She was busy chewing her pen when she thought she saw someone familiar. She thought it was mere delusion from lack of sleep and hypoglycemia.
But then there he was in flesh standing in front of her.
She shut her eyes tightly and opened to see if it was reality.
"Again. There he was.", " the jerk who scorned her.. The jerk who literally walked away from her. The fucker whom she thought would last forever in her life. The asshole whom she thought she would take long walks in beach.
She didn't wanna get sucked in yet anoder drama with him and his new found decisions.
She just looked past him with zero affect and came outta the office after submitting the necessary documents.
He didn't smile at her.
He didn't respond or attempt to talk to her.
He carried on with whatevr work he came in to do.
She knew eventually she had to meet him someday somehow. But this awkward lull was sure ain't that.
Once true lovers now acted like strangers.
She wanted to slap him and kick him for the immature way he behaved but then it would literally prove him right and her path to "moving on" would sure spiral down to square one.
Right on time the slacker came in to stir out old emotions.
"Hey Nandini.!" Ajeesh greeted her.
He sure saw the reactions on her face and trying to read in the relationship she had with this new guy.
"Hey." She responded quietly before reaching the parking lot.
He came in and locked her body in his arm and started his bullshit.
"I have been thinking about you and your dirty Lil mouth for hours." He whispered in her ears
She just walked along with him to avoid any scene. She wasn't atleast not that kiddish to do something either.
Manik was sure trying to avoid those two.
She wasn't even curious why he was there.
Yet some inner prang hit her.
She moved towards her bike and rode home.
Next day
Yet another routine day.
She got to know from her colleague that Manik had joined as senior consultant in EMT dept.
She just smiled at the dumb how he could do this. When she insisted him to get his ass somehow to London, he was so sure he wasn't open to the options. But now here he was. Hurting her in the least possible way.
His arrival marked presence because he was the only new faculty in EMT who was an Indian.
Days passed.
Neither she took any bold step of acknowledging his presence
Nor did he
It was like cold war in real.
Except that the two parties had done the dance without the pants in the past here.
She reached her place in 10 minutes. When she was busy fishing her keys from her bag. She saw him leaning in the door of her apartment.
"arrrgggh. Jeez. Fuck my life" was only she could think at that moment.
She took the keys and pushed the door open blatantly ignoring the bastard.
He knew he deserved to be treated that way. But as they say there's always 3 sides to a story, her side, his side and the actual truth.
We all knew how it went down for her.
He came inside her home as if he owned her place without any further adieu.
"How are you!" those were only words he could mutter from his mouth or rather have courage to ask.
"Well so far I have been good. I m not sure if I have enough room in my mind or heart for you to kick me." She sneered with such anger.
"I m sorry Nandu!"
"Sorry? Did I just hear a sorry from the great Mr.Malhotra!" just get the fuck outta here before I slap you.
"Sorry sorry. He is frigging saying sorry to me" She sneered the words towards the fridge.
"I know I was at wrong. But come on. Can't we move past the Lil glitch in our relationship!"
"Wtf.'' she snapped her fingers in front of him." Hello mister. Wake up. We are not dating anymore. What relationship? You made sure no strings between us way way back. And I duno I don't even have the strength or energy to be in same page as you. So please leave me alone"
