A Vampire

After what happened last night I don't think this town is very normal. I thought as I woke up. I yawned and pushed myself to sit up. "Mary get up you're going to be late for school!" My mom yelled as I stood up out of bed. I walked to my closet and gabbed a purple dress. I took off my black pajamas and put on the dress. I pulled my hair into a pony tail. Then grabbed my backpack and went to the kitchen where my mom was. "Just a second Mary." My mother said as she stopped me. "I have something to tell you." I stopped and looked at her. Her face was cold looking and sad. I walked over and sat down.

"Well what is it?" I asked.

"I am going to be leaving soon." She said as she looked away from me.

"What do you mean we just moved here?" I asked confused.

"You are staying. This town is safe." She said as she stood up. "It is safe for our kind."

"What do you mean our kind?" I asked even more confused "You meaning our kind as the last pure witches. Anyone could be a witch but us... we were born as witches. We had no choice. I had no choice."

"You had a choice you don't remember when you were five you had a choice of being normal or special and you said special." My mother said as I stood up. "Now I will be leaving for a month to go and help your grandmother with a problem. I will be back after, but I expect you to be okay.

"Know what mom you can just leave me. I need to go to school. Love you." I said putting my backpack on and leaving. I walked to school and went to class. I walked into class and looked around and the bell rang. I walked to my seat and sat down. As I took the book out of my backpack the girl next to me growled. I looked up to see it was Mika.

"Oh hi." I said as I sat up.

"I don't even wanna talk to you. You witch." She whispered "Just wait till school is over you won't be very happy."

I closed my eyes walking out of school with my head phones on. I started to walk back to my house. Half way home I ran into a couple people. I walked around them for one to be in front of me again. "Oh let me guess Vampires?" I questioned as the rest circled around me.

"Good guess but you better leave my friend alone." a shorter blond haired girl said looking up at me. "Don't expect me to be nice. You were marked as a witch."

"So what." I said as I pushed through the small gap.

"You aren't welcome in this town. It may protect you from people outside, but not on the inside." The same girl said. I kept walking until suddenly someone grabbed me from behind. I was lifted off the ground and pulled back. I closed my eyes and turned my music up. When the two people put me down the girl was up in my face. "Were you even listening to me?" I heard mumbles.

"I'm sorry I cant hear you." I said "I have music on. But you can keep talking." I closed my eyes and cracked my neck. When I opened my eyes the girl had taken one of my head phones out of my ear. Plus she had put it in her own ear.

"So I see we listen to the same music." she said as she smiled. She had short blonde hair and had a school uniform on from another school. She had bright red eyes and seemed to scare everyone walking by.

"So I guess you scare everyone then?" I asked taking my head phone out but still hearing the music.

"Yeah. Not exactly me, these guys do it. But I just add to that." The girl said smiling.

"So I guess your Mika's friend." I questioned as I cracked my back.

"Yeah. You better leave her alone last time there was a witch around here they wouldn't stop controlling her." She said as she pushed the hair from her face as the wind was blowing.

"Why do you think I will control her. I have once but that was because she attacked that is the only reason I will control. But I do use spells." I said as I looked around.

"Is everyone in the town..." I went to ask but she had already started to answer.

"I see your parents didn't tell you. You are in a town that is full of people that have 'abilities' but not everyone knows what so don't say anything." She said.

"What's your name?" I ask looking at her.

"Oh sorry I know yours but you don't know mine. I'm Avila." She said putting her hand on her face.

"No it's fine but I need to go." I said running past her.

"Okay." She said watching me.
