Holding Back

When I woke up Tyler was gone and my dad was standing there. "Why was he in bed with you?" My father asked as he crossed his arms.

"Really? Just shut up. I don't even want you here." I said as I got out of bed. I still had my cloths from yesterday on. I walked out of my room to see Tyler standing next to the door.

"Hey." Tyler whispered as we walked to the kitchen. As we walked in Luke was standing there smiling. I stood still but Tyler attacked him. I didn't even stop him. I wasn't going to feel bad for someone who tried to kill me. Was I... I grabbed Tyler pulling him back.

"Just leave him alone. Okay?" I questioned as I looked at Tyler.

"Okay." Tyler whispered. I looked at Luke and he had a bloody nose.

"That's your own fault." I said as I walked past him and getting juice and eggs out. "Want something Jack." I walked over to the stove and pulled a skillet out. My dad walked into the kitchen and helped Luke up. "If you want to know what happened to my neck then you should ask Luke." I made some eggs and bacon. I made two plate and gave one to Tyler. I took the other one.

"Oh so nice Mary." Luke said as he tried to make his nose stop bleeding.

"What would you like to attack me again." I said as I looked at him. Tyler had went to my room already.

"I didn't attack you." Luke said as he glared at me.

"You kissed me twice then almost chocked me to death." I said as I held the plate in my hand.

"I did not." He protested as he let go of his nose and it stopped bleeding.

"Here let me give you what you want." I said as I smashed the plate on his face. "Your mess clean it up." I walked away from him and went to my room. When I walked in I shut the door behind me. There was honking I walked over and looked out the window. It was Avila Weather and Mika again. I opened the window and walked closer.

"Jack and you want to go swimming?" Avila yelled to ask. I looked at Tyler and he smiled.

"Sure when?" I asked as I leaned out the window.

"When are you two able to." Mika yelled.

"Uhm..." I looked at Tyler and he was still eating. "Maybe in a hour or so."

"Okay we'll come back in an hour and get you." Mika said.

"Okay thank you." I yelled as they all got in the car. Tyler finished a little after they had left. We talked until they came back to get us. If grabbed money out of my dresser before I climbed out the window. Tyler went out the front door grabbing my shoes.

"Why did you come out the window Mary?" Avila asked as I climbed in the window and Tyler got in after me.

"Well my father is here. And he is trying to keep me in the house or leave with him." I answered as I slipped my sneakers on. As Mika drove off Luke ran out the door and tried to catch us. I used my magic to make him fall.

"Well that's weird." Weather said as she nudged me.

"Kind of. But oh well I'm not there now so." I said smiling. Adrenaline was running through my body making me shake. We had to go to the store so Tyler and I could get swim suits. When we got to the pool. Mika paid for everyone. We took off everything but our swim suits and got in. We swam the whole time. I tried to forget the major problem just sitting at my home. After we were done Mika dropped me off at home. Tyler walked home from my house. When I walked into my house Luke was laying on the floor a puddle of blood around him. I checked for a pulse and found one. "So your not dead." I pushed his face with my foot. There was a sudden pounding on my front door. I opened it and Avila ran in. She grabbed Luke and bit into his neck. I was surprised by her actions. Mika and Weather ran in gasping at all the blood.

"Avila get off him he is still alive." I said as I looked at her. Avila's face went cold as she stopped.

"Piss off." She hissed as she kept drinking his blood. I used my magic to get her off him and pull him away. Pushed Luke into the kitchen leaving a streak of blood behind.

"Come on Avila." Weather said as she looked at Avila. I shielded the door to the kitchen and Avila suddenly fell over.

"She drank too much. When she came back she passed out." Mika explained. "She'll be perfectly fine." When I walked into the kitchen there was a click as the front door closed. I looked around only seeing Luke on the ground.

There was a note on the counter that read 'I'm leaving if you can't trust me now you will have to choice later.' I picked it up crumpling it up and throwing it at Luke.

"Get up I know you're awake." I said as I sat on a chair.

"Oh thanks for letting her bite me." He said sarcastically.

"Oh stop being such a baby. You're not going to die." I said as I stood up and walked out.

"The Mafia was looking for you. Almost killed me to get to you." Luke said as a smile crossed his face.

"Oh well I can protect myself." I said yawning. As I walked out Luke grabbed my shoulder. "Okay don't even touch me right now." I looked back at him as he took his hand off my shoulder "Don't ever touch me." I turned and walked to my room. Lily was in laying on my bed with her wings spread out.

"Mary you should have been here." Lily said as she flew up.

"Why?" I asked as I shut the door and walked over to her.

"The Mafia came and kind of attacked everyone. I defended myself but they said they were going to come back for you." Lily's tone changed like she was going to attack someone herself.
