Chapter 6: Meeting the Enemy

(Okay so...I got votes fast Aha means alot guys, really :D

Lucy POV 

We are on the train, again! Although Natsu begged to walk but Erza said other wise and there was no arguing there.
"mmmph" groaned Natsu
"What can't handle it?" Smirked Gray
Natsu tried to get up to retaliate but he fell back down due to motion sickness.
"should I heal him?" asked Wendy
"Nah he should be right" scoffed Gray
Natsu groaned really loudly. which I think was an attempt to yell at Gray.
"um...so Erza what is the plan?" I asked
"Well, Natsu informed me...while you were asleep...that they multiplied when you killed them" Erza stated
I nodded
"Well I was thinking, if Gray used his ice make to freeze them, we might be able to analize them and get rid of them in the process" Erza replied
"That might work" I said impressed
"but are you sure you are able to do the job?" asked Erza
Gray seemed to give me a questioning look as if he was asking as well and I'm not sure about Natsu because he looks like he is about to pass out.
"Yes I'm fine don't worry about me" I smiled
but in reality I am actually afraid what if the goblins put sleeping dust on me again...and I get nightmares...and why do they have to be about my past...I just don't understand.

(a train ride later)


"I am never going on a train again!" Natsu exclaimed
"You say that everytime" I replied bluntly
"But this time I mean it"
I shook my head but I couldnt help but giggle at his remarks, Natsu looked up at me, giving me a confused look but he then gave a soft smile back...I have never seen that smile before.
"So this is the village" asked Erza who had her large luggage behind her
"Yes" Natsu said seriously
well he gained his consious fast.
Then the old mayor came into our view and he rushed to us with a worried look on his face.
"They are already attacking and something else is too" he panted
I didn't think twice, I ran to the gate and into the village and Erza wasn't far behind, Gray, Wendy, Happy and Natsu followed after Erza.
"Ahhhhh" I heard a couple of people scream
I saw goblins throwing stuff out of windows and a couple clapped dust into a mans view, I got my whip and slashed three goblins but only to find they came back I looked at my surrounds and Gray yelled out
"ICE MAKE SHIELD"
After he blocked a little explosion he then freezed twenty goblins, Erza was in her cheetah armour to quickly kill the goblins, Wendy and Happy was helping the people go to the underground, and Natsu was burning them to ashes at a pretty fast rate but he seemed distracted he kept on glancing somewhere in my direction, a few more goblins came in my view and I had no choice but to call on the spirits
"Gate of the lion I open thee, LOKE (leo)"
"Ah princess whats the problem?" he asked and he looked ahead, realising the problem and nodded
"Destory them as fast as you can" I ordered
He nodded again and dashed off, I on the other hand was using my lendgendary Lucy kick and whip to get rid of the little rats.
"Roar of the fire dragon!" I heard Natsu yelled
and a gush of fire hit the goblins just missing the buildings...thank goodness...he really was holding back
"Heh...I'm just getting fired up" I heard him just say
I smiled but these goblins were out of control...why this village and why do they keep coming back putting people into deep sleeps...I should know I was a victom and I am not going back.
"BOOM"
I heard somehting explode so I turned around and I saw a house...the rats blew up a house and it was on fire, they must of made a gas leak.
"Help...My child..he's in there" yelled a distressed woman
"Where abouts" I said trying to fend off goblins
"I-in the house...they cut through the gas source while we were trying to e-escape to the underground" she cried
I looked to the direction it was in
"don't worry" I said
I started to run to the house on fire, i think I saw Natsu turn around this way...he has pretty good hearing
"Lucy!" he yelled
but it was too late I dived into the house window...maybe I should of thought this through but a childs life is at stake. I heard a cry on pain and fear
"Where are you" I yelled
"H-Here" I heard the boy cough
The smoke was getting thick...and I started to cough. I finally located the boy, he was in the corner of the room.
"come on" I said holding out my arms
He hesitated and flinched when some of the roof fell and I did too but he eventually went into my arms and I carried him, good thing he wasn't heavy
"We need to find *cough* a way out" I stated
"Lucy..." I heard a faint yell
I followed the voice and a piece of the roof fell again
"Ah" I jumped back
"Lucy!" it was louder but more distressed
I started to run forwards and I found the door and now the whole house was colappsing so I ran and bashed through the door with the boy facing the other direction so my back hit the ground.

Natsu POV



"Ah" I heard a faint scream
"Lucy!" I called out she was in the house
the house started to colappse I was about to run in after her but I saw a blond with soot all over her bashing through the door with a kid in her arms and she skidded on her back.
"Ah..." she winced in pain
I can't believe Lucy did that, she got up and looked at the kid
"Are you okay?" she asked sweetly
"Y-yes..." the boy replied
"Okay...go to your mother where it's safe"
He nodded the he froze and I looked up and I almost froze my self
"Lucy!" I tried to grab her
"W-watch out" the boy stumbled backwards
Lucy screamed in pain because a dark cloaked man just picked her up by the neck and she had cuts across her back and she was coughing...that fall must of taken a beating out of her
"Let her go" I was about to punch him into an oblivion
"Ah, I wouldn't do that if I were you" he tightened his grip on lucy
"N-Natsu" she manged to say
Suddenly the goblins dissappeard at the click of his fingers, I growled at him and I could see a smirk under his cloak.
"You wizards have been a pain lately...especially you" he pointed at me
I was a little confused, is he angry that I turned his maggot friends to ash?
"Now, now little miss Heartiflia, you have very interesting dreams indeed...a lot of sad memories" he said slyly stroking her cheek bone and she flinched
"Don't touch her!" I growled.
Erza, Happy and Gray were now behind me
"I think it's too late for that" he smirked again "and with her dreams I would have endless wonder and power"
"What do you mean?" Erza asked
"Lets make this simple...Once your stuck in your nightmares your brain will be at my controll, I can see everything and after a while...you're brain can't take it anymore, thus...being at my control" He gave a sly grin of achievement
"But because of you" he pointed at me again "Her nightmares turn into dreams" he sounded annoyed
"Natsu what is he on about?" Erza asked rather seriously
"I...don't know" I replied more worried about Lucy's safety
"Even you don't remember" he paused and revealed his face
He had Black hair, much like Gray's, Grey eyes and a scar at the corner of his mouth.
"The boy with rosie pink hair...hiding behind the bush..." he continued
Lucy's eyes slightly widened and she gazed her eyes to me...what was he-

My thoughts were suddenly interuppted, the cloaked man's voice changed.
"I'm okay but why are you crying?" the man said in a little boys voice
but that voice...it sounds like-

My thoughts were interuppted again when a faint image came up
"She's gone" a little blond cried
"Who's gone?" said a boy who I couldn't see
"Mama..!" cired the girl in the rain
why does this seem so familiar and that girl, I can't see her face but she looks familiar too? then the boy came into view...he had...pink hair...my eyes widened, the boy embraced the girl and the girl seem shocked at first
"you're not alone..." the boy said
I saw the girls face quite clearly now...I remember now but she looks like...

LUCY!

"Natsu that's..." Erza said in disbelief
I almost stumbled back in disbelief and one last thing came up.
"Y-your warm" Little Lucy said while slowly closing her eyes
then the image disappeared and I saw Lucy still in the hands of the cloaked man, her eye's as wide as mine, that was Lucy that girl I played with when Igneel left...I never knew her name and she didn't know mine it's all caming back to me now.

Major Flashback


'Where are you Igneel?' I thought to myslef as I moved in the bushes making a stick break.
"Whos there?" I heard a girls voice
I looked over the bushes and she saw me, she walked slowly over to me and asked
"What's wrong..."
"He's gone" I sniffed
"Who's gone?" she asked kindly
"Igneel"
She clearly didn't know who he was but she answerd with
"Is he your papa?"
I didn't answer I just sat there snuggling up in the scarf Igneel gave me
"Do you want to play?" she asked with a small smile
My face lit up, she wanted to play with me, we had fun we played we laughed and Lucy...looked like she had the most fun she smiled the whole way through then we were interuppted
"...your father wants you inside" I didn't hear the first part...her name that is
Lucy looked at me sadly and said
"I have to go"
But all I did was smile at her
"I'll meet you again..."

Flashback end (dum dum duuuuuuum)

"L-Lucy" I stuttered
"Nat-su...Ah" she was being pulled up into the man's eye of sight
"this time I'll make sure you don't wake up" he smirked
That's when I clicked
"No!" I yelled
"Natsu no!" Erza and Wendy yelled out to me
"Good night" he announced as he mumbled a few words and dark magic dust went into Lucy's system and with that her eyes gazed on me before her whole body went limp, the cloaked man disappeared and she fell so I dashed forward and caught her.
"Lucy...not again...Lucy" I was panicking
"Natsu..." I heard Happy say softly
"Come on wake up" I asked
What's wrong with me? Why am I acting like this? I am Natsu the fire Dragon Slayor...I saw a tear fall onto Lucy's cheek...wait was I crying...well it's not like she hasn't seen me cry before, even though she can't see me...I can't believe that little girl is Lucy! I then felt a hand on my shoulder, it was Erza and Gray was standing on the other side of me while Happy and Wendy were in front of me while their eyes watering up at the sight if Lucy, Wendy tried to heal her but her powers were useless with this sleep magic.
"I don't think he will be attacking the village for a little while...lets go back to the guild" Erza said as kindly as she could, by the sounds of her voice.
I nodded and picked her up.
"We'll let you know if anything happened" said the mayor sadly
"Thank you" Erza answerd
We were about to walk away but something came over me
"I already miss her smile" I said looking at Lucy who was in my arms
Erza, Happy, Wendy and Gray all looked at me. Gray had wide eyes like he couldn't believe what he just heard but I didn't care he had pain on his face too.

Next time I see that cloaked mans face, in going to kill him!

Poor Lucy...and Sorry the update of this chapter was slow like really slow, I want to give most of my apologies to Victoria1121 because she has been waiting so patiently for this update so I hope you enjoy.
